<div>It is with a heavy heart that I write to ask for your support for our dear friend, Paul, and his family—his loving wife, Ewa, and their children, Michal and Veronica. <strong>Paul is bravely battling terminal cancer, and the time he has left with his family is sadly growing shorter.</strong>  As many of you know, Paul has always been a source of community support, kindness, and generosity, offering a helping hand to others in their times of need.  Now, it is our turn to show that same kindness to him and his family.

Support Paul and Family During Terminal Illness

<div>I'm fundraising for my father, Melville Quadros, he is 66 years of age and is an Indian Citizen, currently on holiday in Australia (Adelaide) My parents came to Australia from India on the 6th of December 2023 to spend time with me and help me plan and organise my wedding which is scheduled for next year. Unfortunately on the  26th of April, in the early hours of the day he experienced severe pain in his back and immediately experienced loss of sensation and mobility below his chest line. On rushing to the ER at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, the doctors suggested that he needed to get an emergency nerve decompression surgery and in turn removal of blockage as that is what caused loss of motor and sensory function below the chest.

<div>The surgery was completed safely and successfully and he is now on the road to recovery. We are thankful he has retained function of his hands however he is still unable to move his legs and conduct bowel/bladder control. And as such we have been informed that in order to recover further he needs to get moved into a rehabilitation centre that specialises in spinal rehab Due to the specialised rehabilitation he requires, the hospital is unable to discharge him home as he still needs bowel care and assistance with change of position whilst sleeping/sitting as he is still unable to move his legs voluntarily, even after a successful surgery.

<div>On speaking with the doctors they have indicated that he may need approximately 3 months at a rehabilitation centre. His health insurance is not covering the repatriation services to India, nor are they covering rehab services here in Adelaide which is costing us $2409 a day. Repatriation services to India are costing us $150,000. And In order for my dad to gain any sort of mobility/function in his legs and lead a decent quality of life - he needs to be admitted to a rehabilitation centre as soon as possible.

<div>The rehabilitation will focus on training him to have bladder/bowel control, occupational therapy for quality of life improvement and intense physiotherapy to attempt to regain function of his legs again. The funds raised will help me get my dad safely to India (Mumbai) and provide him with the necessary aid that he is currently in need of. 
</div>

<div>His insurance in India should cover his rehabilitation costs, as long as the care is provided in India and not overseas. As such, I humbly request financial help with transporting my dad safely to the rehabilitation centre in India (Mumbai). 
</div>

<div>As his only child and this responsibility falls squarely on my shoulders and it is a hard burden to bear. But I am determined to get the best care for my father. It was not an easy decision to make to create this request - my father brought me up to be a proud and strong woman. But he also taught me to be humble enough to ask for help when I need it. Which leads me to say that I am deeply grateful for ALL your donations and support during this hard time. Your willingness to lend a helping hand has touched my heart and has given my father and family the support we need in trying times like these.

Help Raise Funds For Melville's Medical Costs

<div>Murray thought of himself as the luckiest guy in the world when he overcame a double lung transplant 12 years ago. Murray has suffered with Cystic Fibrosis all of his life and he was weeks away from death when he received the call that he was about to get a second chance at life. 
</div>

<div>Murray has been living life to the fullest ever since. He has always been tge  happiest guy in any room no matter what he has been going through. 
</div>
<div>He celebrates his new lungs every year with what he calls his Lung-iversary with his wife Danielle who was his high school sweetheart and his 4 beautiful kids who are 6, 4 and twins who are 2. Having kids didn’t come easy but they were determined and conceived through IVF. 
</div>

</div>
<div>Last year right after their oldest son’s 6 th birthday Murray suffered a seizure. This lead to the devastating diagnosis of an apple sized tumour in his brain. 
</div>
<div>The tumour was removed but a biopsy showed it was stage 3 meaning it is incurable. Even though they removed what they could see it is without a doubt it’ll grow back. 
</div>

<div>Being the fighter Murray is he jumped right into radiation and chemotherapy to gain as much time as he can with the beautiful family he and Danielle have created. 
</div>

<div>They don’t deserve the cards they’ve been dealt but they deserve incredible memories that Danielle and the kids can cherish forever. 
</div>

I am also 37 years old and feel there is so much life left for me to live. <br /><br /><strong>In June 2019, I was diagnosed</strong> with a very rare form of soft-tissue sarcoma. The Oncology Board at the University of Michigan Hospital warned me that standard cancer treatment would have debilitating side effects and would not offer me hope of lasting results.  <br /><br /><strong>The tumor is growing at 30% every three to four months.</strong> I have lost the ability to use my arm for simple tasks such as cooking, house cleaning, or just lifting my arm to get dressed. My pain level has increased significantly and brought me to tears. I feel as if I am being stabbed in the arm. I am finding it more physically challenging to provide the usual care for my mom and dad. They need me, and time is critical.<br /><br /><strong>I am so grateful</strong> to have been accepted as a patient at CMN Hospital in San Luis, Sonora MX. The physician's medical team is ready to begin treatment; all I need to do is raise the money to get there.<br /><br /><strong>After days of research</strong>, I found CMN Hospital and had a video consultation with Dr. Payan, the general hospital director, treating me. Cancer Treatment for Jacqueline

On Saturday October 8th, 2016, Garry Gulledge passed away in New Haven from injuries sustained in a hit and run accident while riding his motorcycle. Garry was known for his contagious smile, his warm affection, his humor and his genuine care for others. He was a Mechanical engineer, a photographer, film maker and, above all, a friend.  <br /><br />Garry was passionate about helping others and would take time out of his personal life to participate on missionary trips in places like Honduras and Kenya. He also donated his time to his local community, serving as a mentor for the Robotics team of Nonnewaug High School. Garry was extremely personable and left a lasting impression on many people he interacted with. He got along with people of all backgrounds. Out of respect and love for Garry, we are setting up this fund to help Garry's mom with anything she may need after Garry's passing.<br /><br />He leaves us all blessed and better to have known him, as well as many memories that keep him alive in our hearts and minds.
