<div>When we initially started this fundraiser, we were looking to raise a whopping £250,000 so that Jeanette could receive treatment at a clinic in London to prolong her life. Since then, Jeanette has found a clinic in Germany that can offer the same treatment for a fraction of the cost. £38,000 to be exact. With the help of this GofundMe, some cash that Jeanette  has saved and a cash donation from her family, she is now able to pay the first instalment and fly to Germany to begin treatment in a few weeks. We are hoping to raise the rest of the money, so that she can continue to receive treatment.

<div>Last year she was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma which is devastatingly incurable.

<div>Jeanette has dedicated her life to others in Sheffield. She is genuinely the most kind and caring person that anyone could ever meet. We have been blown away with the strength that she has shown since her diagnosis and her positive attitude towards fighting the cancer. During her career she has helped many new mothers adapt to life with their babies as a maternity support worker.

<div>She has worked in education in Sheffield for 12 years in many challenging situations and is absolutely adored by children and their families. She has had so much impact on the children both emotionally and academically and is always the person that children turn to when in crisis.

<div>Her family, friends and colleagues love her and she can never do enough for them. Since her diagnosis, she has continued to work despite being quite poorly; undergoing major brain surgery twice and receiving intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She is a true inspiration to others and has even completed the race for life whilst going through treatment.
