My uncle, Rolando, was a true hero who spent his life in service of his family up to the very moment where he rescued his children after they fell into water.

<div>My uncle was a hardworking father who loved his family. After years of learning the construction trade, he started his own business and achieved his family's dream of owning a home just last year. To me &amp; the rest of my family, he thought only of his children and did his best to provide them with a fulfilling and educational lifestyle. That morning, he had taken off work to spend a day with his kids after hearing they were feeling low in spirits. He took his kids to go see their mom at work, enjoyed a good breakfast together, did karaoke in the car, before heading their way to enjoy a walk in good weather.

<div><br />On the evening of Saturday, February 18th at 10:36pm their mom was struck by a car going 75mph on a 35mph zone. Lorraine Navarro’s Tahoe truck was destroyed and she died at the scene. Witnesses say she passed away in less than a minute after the impact. They were asking her not to close her eyes, to keep her eyes open, but her sweet bubbly character said goodbye.

<div>Adding to the devastation is that their father Albert Pasaye passed away in September 2021, just five months ago. These boys lost both of their parents in less than 6 months.

<div>Two of the boys is currently in college, the last one is starting middle school. We want to help the boys get through college without the oldest having to drop out of school to provide for his brothers.
