<div>This fundraiser is for our dear friends, the Falcon Family: <strong>Darrell and Agata Lewis, and their sons Kacper and Oscar</strong>. The family lost everything in an electrical fire on 1/11/25. Their memories and all personal items are all gone. However, that wasn't the worst of the accident. Sadly, their animals were stuck in the home when the fire broke out. They had 5 dogs and 2 cats. Pumpkin was their golden doodle who had just given birth to a litter of puppies a few weeks earlier. Tiger and Lola were their cats. All of them lost their lives. The family loved their animals and are completely distraught over what happened to them. The story is devastating and unbelievable to imagine. <strong>The money will help with the burial of the 6 animals and to rebuild their lives. <div>Darrell and Agata are married and from Glendale, NY. They are great people, always willing to help the people around them. They are very loving and giving to everyone they encounter. They have two sons, Kacper and Oscar. Kacper is an all-star football player and captain of the Queens Falcons Bantams team. He is an amazing leader, player, and friend. He is captain because he always leads by example. He strives to succeed in everything he does on and off the field. Oscar is an amazing basketball player who played for John Adams High School. He has succeeded in his basketball career and is moving on to his next steps in life. Oscar is a very supportive brother and son. He is always there for his family. Both children are great kids. This is an amazing family and they didn't deserve this heartbreak.

Help Family Who Lost 7 Animals in a Devastating Fire

<div>Over four years ago, Klaudia was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain cancer called AT/RT. Our happy, energetic little girl’s life changed in an instant, and from that day on, our lives revolved around hospital rooms, cycles of chemotherapy, and endless rounds of treatments that transformed our family’s world.
</div>
<div>Chemotherapy and intensive medical care took an enormous toll not only on Klaudia but on all of us. Our daughter endured countless side effects. Her central nervous system was severely damaged, causing her body to lose function progressively. She lost the ability to walk, talk, and maintain basic bodily functions, and eventually, swallowing became so difficult that she had to be fed through a G-tube.

<div>Despite all of this, our Klaudia, with her artistic soul and boundless dreams, endured each day with courage. She dreamed of becoming an architect because she loved to create, to draw, and to design—but, tragically, that dream will remain unfulfilled.
</div>
<div>Klaudia required constant rehabilitation due to muscle atrophy and a highly restrictive diet to control her brain-related seizures, which demanded significant financial resources as many of the treatments were not covered by insurance.
</div>
<div>Due to Klaudia’s illness, I had to leave my job to stay with her and support my wife in caring for our children. We have two other young children, and we tried our best to provide them with stability and comfort while our lives centered on Klaudia’s fight for health.
</div>
<div>Each day was a new challenge, testing our strength, hope, and finances. Today, as we face the heartbreak of Klaudia’s passing, we are not only burdened by our grief but also by the costs involved in laying her to rest. This is why we are humbly reaching out to ask for help in covering these final expenses.

Mieliśmy w domu szczęśliwą, pełną energii dziewczynę, której życie nagle odmienił nieoczekiwany cios – zdiagnozowano u niej rzadki, agresywny nowotwór mózgu, AT/RT. Od tamtego momentu nasza codzienność wypełniła się szpitalnymi salami, cyklami chemioterapii i kolejnymi etapami leczenia, które zmieniło życie całej naszej rodziny.</em>
</div>
<div><em>Chemioterapia i intensywne leczenie okazały się niezwykle obciążające nie tylko dla Klaudii, ale i dla nas wszystkich. Nasza córka cierpiała na mnóstwo skutków ubocznych. Centralny układ nerwowy został poważnie uszkodzony, przez co Klaudia stopniowo traciła sprawność. W końcu przestała chodzić, mówić, utrzymywać kontrolę nad funkcjami organizmu, a problemy z przełykaniem zmusiły lekarzy do założenia jej sondy żołądkowej. </em>

<div><em>Pomimo tego wszystkiego nasza Klaudynka, pełna artystycznej duszy i marzeń, dzielnie znosiła każdy dzień. Marzyła, by zostać architektem, bo uwielbiała tworzyć, rysować i planować — niestety, to marzenie pozostanie niespełnione.</em>

<div><em>Wymagała stałej rehabilitacji, opieki i specjalistycznej diety, która pochłaniała ogromne środki finansowe, ponieważ niektóre z leków oraz terapie nie były refundowane.</em>
</div>
<div><em>Z powodu choroby Klaudii musiałem zrezygnować z pracy, aby móc być przy niej i wspierać moją żonę w codziennej opiece nad naszymi dziećmi. Mamy jeszcze dwoje młodszych, którym również staraliśmy się zapewnić poczucie bezpieczeństwa i obecność, mimo że życie skupiało się wokół walki o zdrowie Klaudii.</em>

<div><em>Każdy dzień był wyzwaniem i każdy stanowił nową próbę naszych sił, nadziei, ale i finansów. Dziś, kiedy Klaudia odeszła, mierzymy się nie tylko z bólem jej straty, lecz także z realiami kosztów związanych z organizacją pożegnania. Dlatego pokornie prosimy o pomoc w tej ostatniej drodze dla naszej córeczki.</em>

Please help us say goodbye to our daughter with dignity

<div>Update: My mom got diagnosed with breast cancer March of 2024 where she underwent chemo treatments and radiation and had her first mastectomy done October of 2024, she has finished her last radiation treatment January of 2025 and is now waiting to undergo her second surgery. As most of you know my mom doesn’t have health insurance and due to the type of job she has she is unable to work due to the risks. She is struggling tremendously to keep up financially, thankfully we have received so much support from friends and family as well as the Babylon Breast Cancer Institution. We were expecting for her to go back to work after she recovered from her second and hopefully last surgery this fall of 2025 putting her in remission but today march 27, 2025 we have received more horrible news we weren’t expecting to receive. Mom will now be battling thyroid cancer and is expecting to have surgery to remove her glands in the next month and will have to undergo more treatments which will put a bigger strain on her financially and mentally. Anything helps, if you can please donate and if not a share with friends and family goes a long way ! We are extremely thankful for everyone who has prayed for our family and for everyone who has supported my mom through this journey !

<div>In the midst of life’s toughest battles, there are heroes living quietly among us. My mom, a single parent, grandmother, and the backbone of our family, is currently fighting breast cancer. Something we didn’t expect and financially weren’t prepared for. This GoFundMe campaign aims to support her through treatment, as she cannot work due to being on bed rest, and she lacks health insurance. We were not expecting her to stop working up until she physically was not able to but unfortunately she was put on bed rest by her oncologist due to the risks her job brings her. She has 3 children, 2 out of the 3 still depend on her. Bills are already piling up and surgery is scheduled to be in 5 months when she finishes chemo. She is struggling tremendously to keep up with medical bills as well as regular life bills such as rent, and utilities. <div>Kayla Palazzolo is a 17 year old kind, bright, caring, amazing, beautiful high school senior. She is the daughter of a cardiac nurse and Marine &amp; Army veteran. She is a granddaughter, niece, cousin, and always a friend to all.

<div>On December 11th, Kayla is set to receive life saving open heart surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. She was born with bicuspid aortic valve, a condition that impacts the blood flow in her heart. Throughout her lifetime, Kayla has been closely monitored by a pediatric cardiologist. Recently, her conditioned has worsened and she becomes fatigued doing simple everyday activities like climbing a flight of stairs, or taking a walk around the block.

<div>The doctors say that Kayla is in need of a new heart valve and repair of her aortic aneurysm. The doctor who will be performing her surgery at Colombia Presbyterian is an out of network provider and her family will be responsible for a total percentage of her surgery cost. This amount will take a great financial burden on the family.

<div>Kayla’s mother, Jennifer works as a cardiac nurse at a local hospital. A few months ago, she had a baby and used her FMLA time. She is no longer eligible to take a paid leave from her job, so she will need to take a longterm unpaid leave of absence. Putting a financial strain on her family.

<div>Kayla lives at home with her Mom Jennifer, her step dad Henry, and her baby sister Emma. Her step sister Olivia visits from Texas throughout the year. She is a cosmetology student at Nassau BOCES and spent the summer working at a local pool supply store. She is one of the kindest most generous people you will ever meet. She is beautiful inside and out.
