<div>The Clayton Community Giving Tree is back this year to support our friends in the Perez and Clayton communities in need of a boost this holiday season.  Outside of the school, you will see trees that hold tags that have wishes from the families we plan to support.  In addition to toys and clothing, there are basic household needs like blankets/bedding and kitchen essentials.  We will be collecting gifts from these wish lists and monetary gifts through this gofundme to help augment those donations.

While Cardinals won’t be passing by beautifully decorated trees in the halls each day this December, the help and generosity of our community is needed more than ever. In addition to toys, many of the items requested in a typical year include clothes, blankets, kitchen essentials, socks and underwear and other everyday essentials.  We will be collecting gifts from the families wish lists and also accepting gift cards and monetary gifts through gofundme to help augment those donations.

Thanksgiving Love  for Perez Elementary 2021

Our beloved Arthur Valdivia recently passed on January 29, 2021, due to COVID-19 complications. Arthur was a wonderful brother, son, father, husband, family member, friend, active community member, who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind his wife, Chelo, his daughters Clarissa (age 8) and Aylin (age 5), and his son Arturo Jair (age 2).<br /><br />Arthur dedicated his life to his family, his work as a union organizer (fighting for equal rights), and his friends. We are all devastated by this sudden loss and were not prepared for it.<br /><br />We want to give Arthur the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory, say our last goodbyes, and to assist with the loss of his (single) income for his family.<br /><br />We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of Arthur’s funeral and any additional funds received will go directly to his wife and children to support them financially. Our goal is to raise $20,000 for the funeral services and to provide financial support to his family. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help his family during this difficult time.<br /><br />Thank you so much for any financial support you can provide to his wife and children.<br /><br />In memory of a Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Friend, Arthur Valdivia, age 41. We are all deeply saddened that God needed him and called him back.
