<div>Bubbles is a sweet, lazy dog who loves rolling around in the dirt, treats, and her kitty siblings. She is an emotional support animal for my autistic daughter, and Bubbles herself is like another daughter to me. She is very spoiled and loved.

<div>On Tuesday night, we noticed her eye was cloudy and bloodshot. We got her into see the vet the very next day. The vet then referred us to a specialist, an ophthalmologist 4 hours away in Oregon. They got us in on Friday for an emergency visit.

<div>The specialist said that there is no vision in Bubbles' right eye. It is swollen and misshapen, not like an eye should be, and the blindness came on quickly. We're not certain what caused this. It could have been trauma to the eye, perhaps she got excited and ran into something without noticing, something she's been known to do before. But the ophthalmologist also said she couldn't rule out a tumor. The best course of action, if antibiotics and steroid eyedrops don't help, would be to remove the eye, and then send it in to a pathologist for examination.

<div>Her surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, only a week after that very first vet visit. This has all come on very suddenly, and the vet bills and travel expenses are overwhelming, especially with a surgery looming overhead. Even taking on a second job, this will be difficult to navigate financially, but of course we would do anything for our Bubbles. Any little bit to help Bubbles out would be greatly appreciated.

<div>UPDATE: You all donated more than $5,000 for Isaiah's trip to Hawaii! I have disabled further donations considering we have raised the target amount and then some. Again- all remaining money over the $3,300 will be given directly to Isaiah for him to enjoy his trip. If anyone who donated is interested, I'd be glad to provide a full accounting of the money collected, fees, payments to the Tiki Bowl, and the money which will be given to Isaish for his trip. Many community members as well as many outside of Boron showed Isaiah that we've got his back! The initial goal/expense requirement of $3,300 has been reached and surpassed. The GoFundMe account will remain open for now for those who may still want to contribute and be a part of Isaiah's experience. There is still the matter of making sure Isaiah has plenty of money while he is in Hawaii to allow him to truly enjoy the experience and take in all the island has to offer (food and activities in Hawaii can be very pricey).
