Liz was diagnosed with stage 1 colon cancer  that requires  treatment.   With medical and living costs looming she needs help.  Not only does Liz have this to deal with but she was placed on leave in April due to Covid-19 She’s not sure how long she will be out of work, but my feeling is she needs to focus on getting better and beating this disease and not worry about how to pay her bills.








I convinced Liz she needed all the help we her Delta family,friends and family can provide.   I talked her into agreeing to run this campaign. Anyone that knows Liz  knows that she’s a fighter, she’s proud but she has a heart of gold which she wears on her sleeve.  With this campaign I’m hoping we, her friends and coworkers, can help her through this very difficult time. My name is Parco Richardson i'm the founder of Save The Airwaves, a production company out of phoenix Arizona. I'm about to make my directorial debut film with the help of other young and passionate filmmakers who want to join me on this incredible journey. We've made movies all our lives and have been working professionally in the film industry for the last five years. Our team has made and worked on multiple award winning short films and is ready to step out and make our most ambitious film yet. Our film is a passionate one that myself and my long time friend writer-producer Julian Holmes wrote about our childhood growing up in Greensboro in the 90s. The name of this project is called " Westbury" it's a coming of age story set in the mid-late 90s about "Three kids that sneak into a local water park on the last day summer before school starts". We plan to shoot Westbury next summer in Greensboro, NC where the film takes place. The only thing stopping us is a lack of funding and we need your help

Superbowl Sunday, my boyfriend and I were driving to  a friend's house to watch the game. Living in Los Angeles, we took the 110 Freeway, a very busy and often congested 5+ lane highway.  Stuck in traffic (shocking!), we were moving along slowly when I thought I saw what looked like a cat sleeping on a concrete portion of the median. There are large concrete walls on either side of the highway so I thought at first that maybe it was a stuffed animal. It didn't see how a cat could ever end up in the middle on a road that is never without cars. I begged my boyfriend to pull over on the left shoulder, which he did, albeit relunctantly since he knew this was a dangerous move. We got out of the car and as we got closer, realized it was definitely a cat. I was sure it was dead but it popped its head up as we approaced so we scooped it up and ran back to our car. The kitty was very limp and lethargic, so we immediately took it to an emergency vet. It was soo adorable and sweet, let me pet her constantly and hardly made a sound on the entire trip there! <img class="not-resizable" src="https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/3214820_1423037398.6945_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /> After the vet examined the kitty (a girl it turns out), it was determined that she was most likely tossed from a vehicle, as her injuries pointed to this conclusion. We were heartbroken that anyone could do this to another living creature, let alone one so helpless and inocent. After hearing the abuse she suffered at the hand of humans, we were determined to aid her in recovery and give her the best chance we could at a full life. <img class="not-resizable" src="https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/3214820_1423037457.9237_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /> Unfortunately, this kitty (who we decided to call "Matilda") will not have an easy road. She suffered broken teeth, abrasions on her face, severe damage to her nail beds, a fracture in her back paw and a completely shattered front paw. She's also unspayed, unvaccinated, has fleas and earmites, and was running a fever. Matilda is only about 6 months old.  <img class="not-resizable" src="https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/3214820_1423038093.8822_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /> Today, January 3rd, Matilda underwent surgery to have 3 pins placed in her front paw and her nail removed from her back paw (due to the nature of the break. She will be coming home with splints on her front and back legs and will need to be cage rested for about 6 weeks. At that time, we are hopeful that Matilda's fractures will be fully healed so we can move forward to address her other health needs. The estimate for today's surgery was close to $4,000. I set the goal for this page at $8,000, as she will have more appointments and procedures in the near future. If we raise more money than is needed for Matilda's medical bills (yes please!), the surplus will be donated to an animal rescue here in Los Angeles. It is our greatest wish that we find Matilda a loving home after her recovery. We're hoping a rescue group will read her story and aid us with her adoption. We are fully willing to financially support Matilda until she is healed and ready to go to her forever home, but we are asking for your help as well. We have quite a few cats of our own, so any financial assitance with Matilda's care would make a huge difference to us. After what she has endured, she deserves the best possible chance she can get at a healthy and happy future. Animal cruelty is unacceptable and digusting - we will not stand for it. Please help us by sharing Matilda's story!
