In mere moments, Sonya’s family lost a mother, a daughter and sister.

<div>Hello, my name is Diana Abuseedou. I am a Canadian citizen and I am creating this go fund me for my relative,Taleb Iyad Abu Seydo and his family, Palestinians from Gaza. I find myself having to ask for help in a critical and urgent situation for me and my family members. Our family are victims of destruction, death and hunger. We have also had to witness these tragedies to countless families, friends and neighbours.

<div>My family of 9, including my mother, father, and 2 sisters, my young brother, wife, and two daughters, have faced a series of painful challenges. Our home was bombed in October 2023. After the intense shelling in my family’s neighbourhood, they first took refuge in my house to flee after October 7, but the continuous attacks forced us to move to southern Gaza. Since then we have been displaced.

<div>On Friday, October 13, 2023, we were forced to flee as we were under attack, leaving everything behind. After that, we were evacuated to multiple locations, including Nuseirat, Deir al-Balah, Zawaida and Al-Mawasi, desperately in search of a safe haven. Unfortunately, the neighbourhood where we live in northern Gaza has become in ruins, under constant bombardment, without allowing anyone to return.

<div>After months of continuous movement and multiple evacuations, we found ourselves divided between southern Gaza and northern Gaza and both areas remain under threat of ongoing bombs and attacks. We have since lost our business in the auto and electrical appliances trade, in northern Gaza and suffered serious damage. This is what fed our families and it’s gone now. We have nothing anymore.

<div>We are currently facing the tragedy of no homes, no reliable source of food or water, no medicine, and we live constantly under the threat of fire and shelling. The entire Gaza Strip is unsafe, making access to food and potable water a daily challenge. This not only affects us, but our young children.

<div>My family has two young girls, and children under the age of one are particularly at risk due to the lack of children’s basic needs such as formula milk, medicines and supplies. Additionally, my mother needs medication for diseases of the vertebone. However, the destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system has left us without access to basic medical care.

<div>As part of our efforts to save ourselves and family from this terrifying situation, we are working to evacuate us to a safer place while at the same time we seek to provide all the requirements of life.
</div>

<div>However, the path to security is blocked by financial challenges.

<div>They are demanding that people from Gaza are to pay an average of $7,000 USD per person to let them out of Gaza to Egypt. Flight tickets after that are another $1,300 USD per person, plus expenses required to stay in Cairo, Egypt for a few weeks in order to issue a replacement for lost documents from the embassy and waiting for visa application procedures. The average cost per person is $10,300 USD and a total of $278,000 USD. This is just to get our family out of Gaza, apply for our passports and visas, stay in Egypt during this process, and leave Egypt. Nothing more, nothing less. This is an extreme financial burden which we are not able to pay for due to losing our businesses and jobs since October 2023. We have nothing anymore.

<div>The bombing is also having a huge psychological impact on him as he can’t stop crying or control himself. Ibrahim can't live with these harsh conditions because of his condition and illness. He and the rest of the family have been displaced several times, from al-Zahraa to the ground of al-Aqsa university in Khan Younis and now to Rafah, and he has suffered psychological traumas during the displacement. We are extremely worried about what could happen if Israel now attacks Rafah.

Help Ibrahim with Down syndrome and his family survive.

This story is about a young man named Mahmoud... He dreams of living a safe and normal life like any one of us. Right now his family of 6 are fighting to survive a war torn country. He has an older brother, a younger sister who's 6 and a very young brother at the tender age of just 2 years old, and lastly his parents. They just want a chance to survive and start a new in a country that's literally just steps away. I, Tabitha, will solely be in charge of such funds raised. Once all the funds are raised we will then pay an organization called Hala who will be the agents/brokers to evacuate his family. This cost is $33,000 usd. The remaining funds will be spent in housing 6 individuals, food, Healthcare, medications, and all the basic necessities any humans need to survive. It will be at a great cost to start over.

From coaching the CD panther, collaborating on events to uplift Black community or supporting other small business D’Vonne’s walked the walk. D’Vonne embodied his entrepreneurial spirit through his many businesses including The Postman. To many in the community he was a big bro, a mentor, and took on the role of uplifting those around him. In addition to the many hats he wore out in the world, D’Vonne was a loving husband to Keana Pickett and father to three small children. He loved and was loved deeply by his family and will forever be missed.

<div>As the trial for the men who murdered Ahmaud Arbery on Feb 21, 2020 begins in Brunswick, GA many supporters have asked how they can support his mother Wanda Cooper who has worked so hard to get to this day. Ahmaud fought for his life as he was assailed by three armed men that hunted him down in their trucks. Since his murder his mother has fought to bring those men to justice at great personal expense. Wanda Cooper performed independent research that revealed conflicts among the prosecutors handling her son's murder investigation. She has traversed the state of Georgia and has gone as far as the Whitehouse and the seat of the United States Congress to demand justice for her son.

<p><strong>UPDATE: WE ARE RAISING MORE MONEY TO ALLOW THE PLANES TO KEEP DOING MORE TURNS.</strong><br /><br />We are coming to you in desperation to conduct an <strong>emergency flight rescue</strong> of 300+ Afghan souls. I have been working alongside humanitarian aid groups, decorated military veterans, and activists on the ground in Kabul, fighting to save people who otherwise have no chance at survival in the Taliban-occupied Kabul.<br /><br />The individuals in question are high-value targets - Afghan men and women who have worked as human rights lawyers, champions of Women’s and LGBTQ rights, journalists, government liaisons, artists, and interpreters - all of whom are at <strong>imminent risk of being executed by the Taliban,</strong> along with their families. We will be taking full family units.<br /><br />If these people do not get rescued as soon as possible, neither they nor their family will make it through the month. The Taliban have a KILL LIST and are going door to door, searching for these people and reportedly <strong>killing them on sight if found</strong>. Every one of these individuals on the manifest have been vetted.<br /><br />Due to the rapidly deteriorating situation in Kabul, this rescue mission will only be possible if $550,000 is raised to fuel 2 airplanes to fly into Kabul from a foreign country.  <strong>If we raise twice the amount ($1,100,000), we’ll do another run. There are enough people in need to make many round-trips with our two airplanes. We will continue multiplying as goals are met. </strong><br /><br />With help from people on the ground in Kabul, and the newfound security of the airport due to increased US presence — we have arranged for a <strong>safe onboarding process</strong>. It is with love and support that so many friends and family members have heard and inquired about Vienna’s Leukemia diagnosis.  <br /><br />Vienna was recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).  This form of leukemia will require multiple hospital stays over the next year(s) while Vienna receives aggressive chemotherapy treatment.   <br /><br />Pending a successful first round of chemo, Vienna will require a bone marrow transplant. Please consider signing up for the bone marrow registry at: <br /><br /><a href="https://bethematch.org/support-the-cause/donate-bone-marrow/join-the-marrow-registry/"><a href="https://bethematch.org/support-the-cause/donate-bone-marrow/join-the-marrow-registry/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://bethematch.org/support-the-cause/donate-bone-marrow/join-the-marrow-registry/</a></a><br /><br /> We anticipate a long road to recovery and a variety of unseen surprises thus, hoping as a community, we can demonstrate our love and support through this fund (see "Use of Funds" below), if and when they need it. <br /><br /> Keep sending your love, prayers, and positive energy to Vienna.  For current updates on the status of Vienna's journey please visit her CaringBridge page at:<br /><br /><a href="https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/viennamarie"><a href="https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/viennamarie" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/viennamarie</a></a><br /><br /><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Use of Funds</span></strong><br />Medical costs are on the rise for the treatment of childhood cancers.  It is estimated that the average out of pocket costs families face during the treatment of childhood cancers is approximately $40,000 (per stay) and long term annual costs subsequent to initial treatment average $12,000 annually.  Blood cancers (like Vienna's) often have higher than average associated out of pocket costs.  Particularly, current FDA approvals in AML treatment (example: FLT3 inhibitors) are on the horizon and it is unclear as to the current acceptance of these treatments by insurance carriers.  The goal is to be as transparent as possible through this process and we have the sincerest gratitude for your gift.  If anyone has personal experience battling childhoods cancers and associated out of pocket costs please do not hesitate to share.  Given the knowledge we know today, we anticipate the following costs:<br /><br />- <strong>Vienna's treatment</strong>.  As mentioned, this is an evolving field of study and new treatments are being developed at a rapid rate.  Vienna's treatment is assumed to include items not covered by medical insurance.  Examples include out of network costs, medications, cutting edge treatments, medical supplies and equipment.<br /><br />- <strong>Child care.</strong>  Vienna's treatment will require a substantial amount of time at the hospital.  Currently she will be allowed to return home only a few days at a time in between treatments and long hospital stays are often required subsequent to bone marrow transplants.  Vienna has a 2 year old brother, Zander and some level of supplemental child care will be required throughout this long journey.  <br /><br />- <strong>Home updates.</strong>  Vienna's immune system has severely been compromised by this disease and chemotherapy treatment.  When she is allowed home costs will be incurred to insure the proper sanitization of the living environment.  Examples include generators, HEPA air purifiers, HVAC improvements, etc.  <br /><br />- <strong>Emotional Support</strong>.  We are prepared to move mountains to keep Vienna's spirit in tact during this process.  Luckily there are a variety of resources that offer support to children with cancer.  Examples include: therapist/counselors (not traditionally covered my most medical plans); <div>Our family was devastated on Valentine's Day this year to learn that Daniel has metastatic colon cancer.  Daniel is unable to work due to his illness and the effects of the chemotherapy.  Please help us to be able to survive as we fight alongside Daniel.  It's truly the fight of a lifetime.<br /><br />So many hopes and dreams we had for our family have been pushed aside.  But we hope that, if we can get some help, we might be able to plan a special trip so Daniel could enjoy a vacation with his family.  We haven't been anywhere as a foursome. <br /><br />Thank you so much to everyone who has already helped.  You are angels lifting us up when we cannot rise on our own. </div>
