Hola, Hello, and Namaste Soul Family, My name is Karuna DiLibero, and I am pouring my heart and soul into a long-held dream: to create a sacred Ayurvedic Healing Sanctuary in a culturally diverse + biodiverse region just south of Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. This is more than a wellness center — it's a haven of renewal, cultural exchange, and healing, where ancient wisdom meets compassionate care. Imagine a place where soul and body reconnect, where authentic Ayurvedic Panchakarma detox programs, holistic healing modalities, retreats, and educational workshops empower individuals to live in harmony with their natural rhythms. A sanctuary designed to provide the tools people need during major life transitions — especially those recovering from addiction, overridden with stress, or seeking a fresh start. Many return to old patterns because they lack the supportive, practical self-care education that nurtures resilience and hope. This space aims to fill that gap — offering Ayurvedic Dinacharya, life skills and self-care practices, that help people embrace a healthy, balanced lifestyle and move forward with confidence. But this sanctuary is also a beacon of cultural empowerment. I envision it as a vibrant hub where indigenous healers, artists, musicians, and storytellers can share their extraordinary wisdom and talents. A place where misunderstandings dissolve and diverse cultures can come together to learn, celebrate, and honor their unique traditions. There will be a small shop to help artisans sell their crafts, creating a sustainable means for them to thrive. Furthermore, I plan to establish a nonprofit to support local indigenous communities — providing access to healing, education, and livelihood opportunities through donations that can help underserved families attend workshops or receive free or discounted treatments. It’s a step toward ensuring the healing spirit of this space flows outward to uplift entire communities. We are building this in harmony with nature — using super adobe construction, earth-friendly, organic, and sustainable materials that reflect our core principles of respect and reverence for the Earth. I have already purchased the land, secured the design and builder, and am close to completing my own home nearby, having worked with trusted local artisans and architects. Located just minutes from a pristine, little known beach, in a coastal landscape filled with turtles, exotic iguanas, rivers, lagoons, and bioluminescent waters — this sanctuary will be a sanctuary of peace, discovery, and transformation. Now, I am asking for your support to turn this vision into reality. We need money to build: 1. Main House: 1st level: Cafe / kitchen / dining area with a public bathroom / shower. 2nd level: Ayurvedic Spa / Healing Rooms 3rd level: Yoga deck / Gathering + Teaching space / Terrace with view to ocean 2. 4 Super Adobe Domes with lofts and private bathrooms for guests 3. Bio-pool: Most of the year is hot and dry. A natural pool will refresh the land, and the people who live and visit here. 4. Water Well: Water is LIFE! And absolutely necessary here. So far the well depth is 16.3m. It needs to be drained with a water pump, excavated a few meters more. Then the anillos (cement rings) need to be placed to hold the form of the well. We also need a water pump, irrigation, and materials to plumb the water to all the domes, the main house, and the bio-pool. 5. Solar power system: We are off grid. We wish to have utilitarian sovereignty. 6. Furnishings: Beds, linens, tables, chairs, Yoga wall, Yoga mats, blocks, straps and bolsters, meditation cushions, rugs, cushions, grass mats, baskets, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, cookware, Vitamix, Pressure cooker, pitchers, serving trays, dishes and bowls, outdoor furniture, oven, stove, sinks, fridge, freezer, fans, traditional Ayurvedic Droni table, towel warmer, bathroom fixtures: showers, dry flushing toilets, sinks, faucets, etc. 7. Community Food Gardens: These garden plots will provide food for our neighbors and produce to sell at the future farmers market we will create. 8. Marketing + Advertising Promotions. This will help us launch our retreat center and get up and running so we can become self sustainable!
