<div>My name is Lindsay Hages, and along with David's father, Ray Sample, we are raising funds to help cover medical expenses for David following a life-changing accident.

<div>On April 23rd, 2025, David was doing flips on a trampoline when he landed wrong on his neck. He was rushed to the hospital, where a CAT scan revealed a fracture in his C6 vertebra. David was then life-flighted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA, where he underwent emergency surgery that lasted 8 hours.

<div>At this time, doctors have told us that David will likely not walk again.

<div>This news has been devastating for all of us. David is an incredibly active and adventurous kid who loves basketball, hiking, backpacking, disc golfing, and skiing. The adjustment ahead will be enormous, but David has shown incredible strength, staying optimistic and positive through it all.
