<div>On November 17th, Beverly was pulled out of work after experiencing serious difficulty breathing. After a series of tests, doctors discovered a tumor in her chest pressing against her heart and esophagus—making even simple breathing a challenge. Further evaluation by her thoracic surgeon revealed that the tumor has likely been there for quite some time.

<div>Beverly is now in the exceptional care of Mass General Hospital. On New Year’s Eve, her case was reviewed by their Oncology Department. Her biopsy was done this morning (Jan 6). The results will determine what chemotherapy will be used for this cancer. Once that is determined she will start chemotherapy and radiation immediately.

<div>She has already been out of work for seven weeks, and we still don’t know how long her treatment and recovery will keep her from returning. Being forced to stop working right before the holidays has created a heavy financial strain—one she never expected and certainly didn’t ask for.

<div>As her sister, I’ve watched Beverly spend her entire life showing up for others. She is the kind of person who goes out of her way to help, support, and encourage anyone who needs it. She gives her time, her energy, and her heart without hesitation.

<div>Beverly is the proud mother of six children and the loving grandmother of nine. She works at Eastern Propane in Wolfeboro, NH, where she is known for her kindness, her reliability, and her willingness to help anyone who crosses her path.

<div>As many of you have heard and for those who have not, our son Cameron Connolly, had a traumatic accident early Sunday morning while at Bridgewater State.  Cameron fell backwards from a porch  and fell on his back, was rushed to Boston Medical Center to have emergency spinal surgery and has been in intensive care since then. 

</div>

<div>The outpouring of support from everyone  including family friends from Peabody /Lynn and allover, the BSU baseball team, has been in one word "overwhelming!"

</div>

<div>I felt it is best to use this platform to share an update as many have reached out to Jen and I (and Cameron) asking what happened and offering prayers and support.

</div>

<div>As this is a spinal injury, this affects Cameron’s Central Nervous System, this injury is traumatic, severe and life changing.  Current status for Cameron is he has paralysis from his waist down which will require a new normal including a use of a wheelchair to get around along with other accommodations. 

</div>

<div>Fortunately, the injury did not affect his head/brain or upper body. He has full strength (and plenty of it) in his upper body and he is fully fluent and can communicate as normal. 

</div>

<div>In the immediate, this means Cameron (Jen &amp; I) have entered a life changing event and a new normal which will be a massive adjustment but we will conquer this. For Cameron, he will be going to Spaulding Rehab to learn how he will need to function to live moving forward (Essentially everything we normally use our lower body he will need to learn again). 

</div>

<div>Cameron's goal is to walk again and he will as he is  in top physical strength, and is determined to do this.  This  new challenge will be on Cameron with everyone supporting him to push him in his toughest battle yet to achieve this.  Cameron is extremely motivated to walk again and we know he will achieve this. 

</div>

<div>We thank everyone for their phone/texts asking for and supporting Cameron.  Many have asked what or how they can show their support.  For now, the many teammates, friends that have come to visit and support, please continue to do this as he needs his community to support him.  Continue to reach out to Cam, either by phone or text.  While he enters Spaulding he will need to focus on rehab but would love to see anyone.  Feel free to text me to find out the best time to visit as he will have a regimented schedule that he will need to and wants to focus on this.

<div>In closing as all know how much Cameron has loved playing baseball and achieved so much from t-ball to college, I am sharing this video as it has made Jen and I so proud and will continue to be of Cam.  If you were there you know! On that cool spring day at Peabody High it was one of the best high school baseball games I ever witnessed, and not just of what Cam did but the game was a crisp clean game with only one error with a pitchers duel, Cameron pitching into extra innings with a shut out and scoreless game and came up with one out in the bottom of the eighth

After some concerning symptoms arose, Erin sought out answers at Boston Children’s and Patrick was recently diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor. <div>Hi, my name is Heather and I’m raising funds to help us get through a really difficult time. As hard as it is to ask for help we really have no choice after having numerous unfortunate events. My husband Jimmy was diagnosed with Shingles in the ear canal, Bell’s Palsy and encephalopathy all at the same time. During his time of spending 3 weeks in the hospital he suffered a seizure from a combination of medication and he was let go from his job on his birthday while in the hospital. He is finally home and recovery will take time. He is determined to walk without the use of a walker and overcome the daily pain that has been in his head since this started. Unfortunately with the loss of his income, which was the main income, I just can’t keep up the rent or bills and now the medical bills are coming in, no matter how hard I try. We worked so hard to get where we are and this just completely devastated us in more ways than one. If you know us then you know how hard this is for us and how deeply appreciative we are for any help. Road to Recovery

<div>I started a go fund me to help me and my family bounce back from a house fire where we have lost 95% of what we own. I have suffered burns to my throat and lungs and currently on bed rest until I’m able to breath normally again. My children have lost most of their toys and clothes. Lilly Collins is a Freshman at Lynnfield High School. She is a strong willed and vibrant young girl full of life who always manages to stay positive in the face of adversity. <br /><br />Unfortunately, she was recently involved in a very bad skiing accident on January 17th, 2021 in North Conway. She sustained 3 fractures to her jaw, 2 fractures on her skull and injury to both ear canals leading to loss of hearing in her right ear among other things. Lilly's needs are medically complex.  She is going to need several surgeries over the next few months. Thankfully, she is surrounded by a team of amazingly skilled and gifted medical professionals at Children's Hospital in Boston.<br /><br />While the medical professionals are taking great care of Lilly in the hospital, her family could use some help. There will be high costs surrounding the surgeries and medical care for Lilly despite insurance coverage.  We are asking for donations to help with the immense financial burden that the family is facing. <br /><br />Her mother, Shannon Obey, is one of the strongest women I know. She has always done everything she possibly can to provide for her children and never asks for help. As her friend, I know she needs help. <br /><br />While this is the current donation goal total, it may change as more information becomes available in the future in regards to her overall medical expenses. No matter who you are or how much you donate, every single cent means so much to her and her family.

Dear Friends, <br /><br />It has now been seven months since we lost Brian and in that time we have seen so much love and support directed to his family. There have been many hard days and many tears, but also during this time we have managed to smile and laugh together and remember the great man that Brian Hingston was and the hero he continues to be. <br /><br />We are very appreciative of the overwhelming generosity of family members, friends, co-workers and strangers who reached out to help Tammy, Wil, Colin and Sadie in their time of need. It showed them Brian’s tremendous impact on all those people that he came in contact with in his all too short life. It was been heartwarming to them that so many people care about them and, more importantly, thought so much of Brian to want to help his family. <br /><br />Most recently, on November 12, over 100 adults and more than 30 kids participated in the Spartan Race at Fenway Park to honor his memory, while once again helping his family. Team “The Gentleman” took to the field on a brisk day wearing the hearts on their sleeves and making sure that his name was heard and seen throughout that park! It was a day many of us will never forget.
