On January 14th, 2025, I plan to move from Paris, France, to Montréal, Canada, with my beloved rescue dog, Murphy. <div>This move is a big leap for me—my first time moving out of my parents’ home at 32—and I’ll be starting from scratch when I arrive in Montréal. I’m traveling with only a few luggages, which means I’ll need to buy furniture, household items, and essentials once I get there.

<div>The travel expenses alone are significant. Air France is the only airline that allows Murphy to fly in the cargo hold of the same plane as me, ensuring his safety and reducing his stress. Here’s the breakdown of our travel costs:

<div>My Ticket: €1,400 EUR.

<div>Murphy’s Ticket (Cargo): €400 EUR.
</div>
<div>Checked Luggage: €200 EUR per suitcase (I’ll need at least four).

<div>That’s €2,400 EUR just to get us there, and on top of that, I need to cover initial housing costs, living expenses, and essentials while I search for a job in Montréal.

A Fresh Start: Moving to Montréal with My Rescue Greyhound

On the 8th of January 2019, the Petras family received a phone call that every family dreads. The news that their precious son and brother, Alan Nassi, had sadly been killed in a motorbike collision on Wilderspool Causeway, Warrington. He lived for his job and family, as well as his passion for his motorbike.
