As members of the Undergraduate Chapter of the American Medical Women's Association at FSU, our hearts are with the victims, their loved ones, and every individual affected by this devastating act of violence.

Once the funds are collected, we will reach out to and work closely with the victims and their families to ensure the donations are distributed respectfully and transparently. If we are unable to locate a verified way to deliver these funds to all victims, leftover funds will be donated to the FSU Division of Student Affairs- Student Emergency Fund created by the FSU Foundation. <div>At 5 a.m. on April 14th, 2025, an electric vehicle's lithium battery caught fire under our apartment, soon setting three other cars ablaze, including my first car, completely destroying it. Our garage storage was completely destroyed along with Riley's bike, leaving us with no transportation. Our apartment sustained smoke damage, now forcing us to move after just four months of living in our apartment.

Even though her brother was fine and mother claimed everything was okay in the home. Ice made an arrest to my cousin shortly after. And she is being held. <div>Mr. Antonio De Abreu suffered a cerebrovascular accident on Sunday, October 6. He was taken to the emergency room at the Los Colorados Polyclinic in Valencia, Venezuela. The first evaluation was a CT scan that revealed that he had suffered a stroke in the left hemisphere of his brain.

<div>A few days later, an MRI evaluation was carried out that also determined a cerebral hemorrhage that had invaded the left hemisphere of his brain, which affected his speech, as well as the movement of the right side of his body. He was hospitalized for 3 days and then transferred to his home, where the family has exhausted their funds since it required several nurses working in shifts for six weeks to be able to give him the proper care.

<div>Despite having started therapies to recover some essential functions, such as swallowing, unfortunately, his condition got worse last week. A second MRI revealed that he had suffered a second cerebral bleeding, this time in the other hemisphere of the brain.

<div>Additionally, he has presented a lung infection and a bedsore that covers a significant surface of his lower back, which caused sepsis (generalized infection). Now, I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to travel to Santiago, Chile, to study the Business of Acting, Artistic Direction and Production in a study abroad trip centered around a performance festival. This immersive program would allow me to learn alongside my talented peer, exploring how Chilean artists use performance as a tool for resistance and resilience—a theme that mirrors my own family’s history and the spirit of the Caribbean communities I hold dear.

<div>Hello my name is Mulu Teferra for those who don't know me, I was born and raised in Axum and currently reside in the United States. On a 2019 visit to Axum, I noticed the amount of water runoff that collected in an area of shallow waterway called Mhja where people dispose of all types of trash. Mhja is a seasonal river that runs under the Nibure’ed Aregai Bridge dividing the old town from the piassa.

<div>This raised several issues: piles of trash being gathered in these pools of water, the appearance and functionality, the amount of water wasted during the rainy season that could be collected and used during the dry season when the city struggles due to an inadequate amount of water.

<div>Due to the war in Tigray, this project has not taken off as early as desired. But, I recently returned to Axum, talked to Mayor Abebe and other city officials such as Memmhr Askale Brehane in charge of the Axum municipality who were in full support of this endeavor.

<div>This project attempts to accomplish these objectives through several phases:

<div>breeding ground for disease-causing organisms and the bad smell comes out of it. After it is thoroughly cleaned, we need to build a walkway over these waterways and create a tunnel

<div>underneath them for the water to pass. This has already been successfully done from Mayshum to Enda Mariam, showing that it is very possible and produces great results. In order to address, the negative impact of the garbage to nearby residents and appearance and functionality of the

<div>area, a tunnel and walkway are necessary. For maximum functionality, a green area with sitting benches when the space permits can be implemented.

<div>Driven by desperation and fear, we fled - searching for safety and shelter. We have moved from one place to another - first to my father’s in <strong>Eastern Gaza</strong>, and when he was seriously injured we fled to have him treated in the <strong>Indonesian Hospital</strong>. The Israeli occupation besieged us and bombed the entrance to the hospital and the operating room. Random shells of death were upon us, and we miraculously survived. Through coordination of the Red Cross to evacuate the injured and their companions in the middle of the night, my family arrived at the <strong>European Hospital east of Rafah</strong>. We then sought refuge at <strong>Nuseirat camp</strong> in central Gaza, and then to Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, where my two-year-old son, Said, suffered a thigh and foot fracture. After that, we went to the <strong>city of Rafah</strong> and were displaced once more to the city of <strong>Deir al-Balah</strong>. We have suffered various wounds - a three-year-old girl, our daughter Amal, suffered a fracture in her shoulder and hand. Though the physical pains continue to add to the psychological trauma, Mahoud and I have been numb to all emotion except the daily fear to keep our children safe.

<div>My name is Mohammed. I am a Palestinian. I have lived, with my wife and 2 children, and worked in the IT for over 15 years now.

<div>I am raising funds on behalf of my family (12 members of immediate family - my father, mother, brothers and sisters). We are trapped in Gaza, living in tents with the bare minimum of access to water, food or the minimum basic needs. I feel pain because my family is at risk of dying at any second, if not from bombs, it will be from starvation, dehydration or disease.

<div>Unfortunately we are trapped in Gaza as we don’t have foreign nationality citizenship . We are not permitted to pass through the Rafah border crossing into Egypt.
</div>
<div>Shamefully, the foreign countries has not granted any assistance to Palestinian citizens to evacuate their families as is similar in other war zones, so they are trapped refugees.
</div>
<div>I have pleaded with MP in EU to assist evacuating them, but all have fallen on deaf ears.
</div>
<div>Embarrassingly, the only glimmer of hope is to plead with you to fund them so that the money is used to pay a travel agency located in Egypt to assist them crossing into and resettling in Egypt, into safety. I would have never envisaged myself crowd funding for such a solution, but I wouldn't forgive myself for not doing everything and anything possible or imaginable to save their lives and get them into safety.

<div>After my home has been destroyed, we are now struggling to stay alive due to the relentless and indiscriminate bombing that they live under, and to secure our basic needs of food and water every day due to the deliberate starvation inflicted on us.

Ayoub is aged 16 and lives with his six other family members including a 10yo brother who requires medical assistance, in a tent in Rafah. They have no way to fundraise (you can only set up a Go Fund Me from specific countries) - so I have helped set up this Go Fund me on his behalf. Sadly entry to Egypt is very expensive around $5000 USD ($7,800 AUD) per adult and $3000 USD ($4,600 AUD) per child. Our goal is raise enough funds for them to evacuate and get them through the next few months in Egypt.

<div>Me and my family currently live all together in a tent at the displaced camp, all 8 of us. With me is Subhi (68), Sabah (62), Suleiman (25), Ghada (35), Hala (13), Reham (26), Julia (9 months old), including myself. My father Subhi Al-Qahwaji had an operation back in Jerusalem of 2018.

<div>The operation was done on his spinal cord and because of that my father has become disabled and now uses a walker. Normally he would receive his physical therapy but due to the circumstances he cannot have the proper care.

Help Muhammad and his family evacuate Gaza

<div><em>Pulling Teeth </em>is Emerson student Lulu Dalzell's Bachelor of Fine Arts thesis short film. The film follows Andrew, a lost thirty year old, after a particularly brutal breakup with his dentist ex-girlfriend. In order to win her back, he intentionally smashes all of his front teeth. She sees him for an appointment and they are confronted with the nitty-gritty of their past relationship.

We built our beautiful previous house with difficulty and effort, and we have not yet finished paying for it, and we have only lived in it for 5 years.Now I and my young children live in a worn-out tent that does not protect us from the cold of the night or the heat of the day. We live in very difficult conditions, as there is no electricity, no medicine, no potable water, no education for my children, and no infrastructure even. My children and I are living in extremely difficult and tragic conditions. Words cannot describe them. We feel like we are frying in very hot oil in the summer in the tent, and in the winter we freeze from the bitter cold. This is a small part of our suffering in tent life. I swear that I have obligations that I have not yet paid for in my house. All we want now is to collect a dollar for a dollar so that we can build a new house through your help to us in a safe place outside Gaza, because Gaza has become a disaster area and is not suitable for human habitation. During our second year in college, we were put face to face with the rules put in place to control a fundamentally absurd world. As we’ve gotten older, we’ve seen time pass by faster, and faster. In the confusion we’ve learned to find peace and harmony in the inexplicable.

<div>8pm to 8am follows Jackie, a twenty-year old university resident advisor, through their odyssey of bizarre encounters that bring them deeper into Boston’s wonderful and dreamlike nightlife. Jackie’s bad-influence friend and fellow resident advisor, Alex, and love-interest, Jennifer, push Jackie to leave for the largest and most popular Halloween party in Boston. At the same time, a group of five suitemates get into several heated arguments and their friendship is tested by Jackie’s absence. Throughout the night, Jackie meets several different wonderful and uncanny individuals like: The Guardian (a Bostonian nutcase), The Observer (the keeper of the Labyrinth), The Drifters (environmentally conscious leather-clad vagabonds), The Goons (unhinged college burnouts) and many of the Halloween party’s diverse partygoers.

Aiming to bring a healthy dose of existentialism to the dream-swept aesthetics of surreal horror romps like Brian Yuzna’s Society (1989) and Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). We strive for a rich combination of low brow and high brow material in the likes of Greg Mottola’s Superbad (2007) and Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life (2011). An absurd tale in the name of identity and self-agency that is made in spirit of what we believe to be one of the greatest cinematic triumphs: David Lynch’s Twin Peaks: The Return (2017).
