<div>Hello, my name is Jose Sanchez, a proud U.S. military combat veteran, motorcycle enthusiast, and the creator of Cage Free Moto.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m on a mission to honor the 22 veterans we lose each day to suicide. To raise awareness and support, I’m taking on a bold and personal journey: riding the Medal of Honor Highway (U.S. Route 20) coast to coast 22 times, starting May 22, 2025.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This effort, called The Valor Ride, isn't just about the miles, it’s about creating visibility around veteran mental health, showing resilience in action, and letting our brothers and sisters know they are not forgotten.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To help make this ride possible, Indian Motorcycle has generously donated a touring motorcycle for the journey, a powerful show of support that adds momentum and credibility to this cause.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Along the way, I’ll be documenting every loop on my YouTube channel, Cage Free Moto, to inspire others and raise both awareness and donations to support veteran services. This GoFundMe is to help keep the wheels turning, covering essential costs like fuel, food, and lodging throughout the journey.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any remaining funds after the ride will be donated to the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) chapter 33-9, a nonprofit organization made up of veterans supporting veterans through camaraderie and community outreach.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for supporting this cause and helping me make this mission a reality. Together, we can ride with purpose and honor those who served.
</div>

Cage Free Moto’s Valor Ride: Help Keep the Wheels Turning

<div>On July 7 2022 Abel was in a motorcycle accident on I5 in Salem. His motorcycle tire blew, and he was thrown off while trying to slow down to stop. He landed on his left side.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He was brought to Salem hospital with a ruptured spleen, lacerated liver, brushed adrenal gland, collapsed lung, broken collarbone bone and scapula, compound fractures of all his left ribs, and a left ankle fracture.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He had emergency surgery to remove his spleen and went to icu. They had trouble keeping his pain under control the first day and he wasn’t breathing very well, and his blood pressure was low, but they gave him an epidural and medication and fluids and were eventually able to get his pain controlled and his vitals stable.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On the 9th he started feeling a little better and was more aware of what was going on, and that afternoon was able to be moved out of icu and allowed to start having liquids.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today (July 10th) he’s feeling even better and talking and joking. He’s still in a lot of pain, and has a long recovery ahead but he’s definitely improving.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Abel is the sole income earner in the family, and he will be off work for at least several weeks while he recovers, and even though he has insurance, there will be a large medical bill coming from this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any help is very very much appreciated by all of us, whether that be a donation or sharing the fundraiser.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have had so many offers of help and thoughtful message from friends and family and our whole family really appreciates everyone.
