<div>Well, here we go…To my friends and family, fans of the music (all one in the same to me), and anyone else this reaches… 
</div>
<div>I have known that this moment would come someday, I just thought it would be a little later in my life/career (but hey, I guess I AM turning 50 next year, so…)
</div>
<div>I have been carrying this around with me and internalizing it for quite a while now, and well, my time to do that has run out. 
</div>
<div>I have genetic gum disease that runs deep in both sides of my family. I was once told by a dentist that it is only a matter of time before seemingly decent teeth will begin to fall out. Well, that time has come. It has been, and is progressing very quickly in the last couple of years. 
</div>
<div>This obviously poses problems of all sorts. Everything from how confident you feel about talking to and singing to people, constant pain, how you eat and digest food, to how you can pronounce or project words while singing.  Well, it turns out the bigger problem is that it has now been in my blood for a while and it really drags you down, causes brain fog, headaches, skin problems like psoriasis, and the list goes on. My body and mind have been fighting this off for quite a while.

<div>After a few consultations, I have found the right oral surgeon to help me and he is one of the best in the country. He told me there is only one right way to do this in a way that it will serve me for the rest of my life and I’ll be able to sing with no problems. He also told me that this is more about saving my life than my career.  
</div>
<div>I have extensive bone loss in my jaw which they can now replace with your own genetically “regrown” bone material. (Crazy right?) 
</div>
<div>The work that needs done (immediately) is obviously way more than I can afford! But the alternatives are not affordable either to me. 
</div>
<div>So, here I find myself typing, deleting and retyping my humbled, yet desperate call for help from anyone who can help me to raise the money needed for this miracle. Any amount helps. I have been making music for over 30 years, and things are feeling like they are just getting started. I really want to keep doing this for as long as this body will allow it. I have often been told that my main instrument to heal others is my voice and my words, and so I find it ironic that it is my mouth that ends up needing the healing (life is funny that way).

<div>But, during my 4 to 6 months of healing, I intend to dive deep into my own heart and do the deeper soul-healing that we all come here to do.  I hope to come out of this better than ever, with a bunch of new songs, and without fear of hitting someone in the audience in the eye with a tooth! (Humor is how I cope sometimes.)
