 On Wednesday night, my brother-in-law, Todd House, was rushed into emergency surgery to repair an abdominal aortic dissection. Todd is currently critical but stable, and we are incredibly grateful for every prayer being lifted up for him.
</div>

 Todd has a long road ahead of him, including an extended hospital stay and a lengthy recovery. During this time, my sister, Cindy Perry House, will need to be away from work so she can be by Todd’s side throughout his hospitalization and continue caring for him when he comes home.

 I would love to help take some of the financial burden off of Todd and Cindy during this incredibly difficult and uncertain time. The last thing they should have to worry about right now is how they are going to keep up with their everyday bills while Todd focuses on healing.

Help Todd and Cindy Through This Critical Time

<div>Hello, our names are Karen Malewitx, Lynn Hubbard, Andrea Page, Cheri Nemer, and I am Lynn Everts. We have been long-time friends of Loretta’s, some of us for almost 40 years. Due to unfortunate circumstances at Thanksgiving, our dear friend Loretta, 65 years old, suffered a severe medical emergency. Due to her intensive medical condition, she had to be moved to Detroit, where they were more equipped to handle her specific needs. She has undergone several surgeries that included skin grafts and other complications. Loretta is looking at months of rehabilitation and therapy before she can be sent home, which will be a hard and painful journey. <strong>We would appreciate all your prayers to help her get through this mentally, physically, and emotionally challenging time.</strong>

<div>Unfortunately, she has been separated from her 61-year-old mentally challenged brother, Mark. He has been under her care since the passing of their parents 20 years ago. Part of their family includes three cats and Mark's dog. This has been devastating for Mark; everything that he felt comfort in has been quickly displaced. He is temporarily staying with his gracious elderly Aunt Cathy and is unsure of what his long-term care will be.

<div>The donations received will help with the following items that need to be addressed for this family. This includes help with expenses of Mark's care under his aunt, possible legal bills for Mark's future with guardianship and power of attorney, bills that are now occurring and becoming overdue, and medical bills that are starting to build up. There are also some repairs that are needed on their home.

<li>Ken and I are trying to help his brother Mark and sister in law Renita. Like many others in Swannanoa and the surrounding areas, their home was damaged beyond repair and they lost everything in their home. If that wasn't bad enough, there have also been looters taking or destroying anything that may have been salvageable. Mark is retired from the Navy and they are on a fixed income. They are currently staying with friends but need a place of their own. They are waiting on the county to let them know if they can rebuild on their land or if it will be classified as a flood zone. Please help if you can and keep them in your prayers.
