Let me begin by saying I know times are hard for many, and I wouldn't be asking for help unless it was absolutely necessary. 
 
4 years ago, my husband nearly lost his life to Covid Pneumonia. He was in a coma, on a ventilator, and life support for a month, in a rehabilitation hospital for another month, has since had 7 surgeries to attempt to repair the damage to his airway (each with an ICU stay ranging from 5 days to 3 weeks), and eventually ended up with a tracheostomy for life. He can no longer work and hasn't for about a year and a half. He has recently been admitted to Homecare/Hospice. 
 
A few months ago, our 19, 20, and 21-year-old adult children moved in to help with trying to keep up with expenses. One was out of work until March, the youngest was a seasonal part-time employee until February, and our daughter escaped a domestic violence relationship &amp; has recently been facing heart issues and overcoming an eating disorder, and now has a 4-month-old. All the added expenses and time off for appointments, therapies, and physician-preferred leave from work have cut into her income as a daycare worker. 
 
Long story short, our bills are behind and we're facing eviction if we can't get caught up very, very soon.
 
We need $2500 for rent, about $1200 to catch up the electric bill, and about $400 to catch up on phone bills. We also need a cushion for groceries, diapers, car insurance, gas, and prescription and medical costs. (Phones are imperative for communication when there are disabled/health challenges in the home.) 
 
If we can just get caught up, I think we'll be okay until we hear about my husband's disability case.

My best friend April lost her husband tragically and unexpectedly Dec 19th, 2020.  They had 4 children (oldest age 16, youngest age 8) and she is now facing raising them alone.  Aside from not having anything for Christmas,  fighting her own health issues, and trying to put together a funeral for her sweetheart of 20 years, her home is in disrepair from flooding earlier this year and she and the kids are living out of boxes.  I would love to know the stress of all these burdens is lessened by getting her some help financially.  Give what you can.  Every dollar helps.
