This is my husband Elliott with my granddaughter, Alanna (and he loves that girl so much). Elliott and I have been together for 42 years, and as much trouble as I've given him (he spent 12 years proposing to me), I cannot imagine my life without him. Elliott is strong, stubborn, hardworking, a true family man, kind, loving, a gentle soul, who loves his family, friends, and the community. He is an all-around GOOD GUY. He is a wonderful father to my beautiful daughter and son; and a loving grandfather to five amazing grandkids. They all look up to him and worship him.


Out of the blue, this strong man, who would never get sick, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. This jolt came out of left field and we are now in FIGHTING mode. Elliott is taking chemo (they are treating him with THREE TIMES the normal amount) and what he is experiencing, I would not wish on anyone. 


To help (and we do think it is working) with the treatments, he is undergoing Mistletoe therapy, which is used widely in Germany and Switzerland for cancer treatment. However, until a clinical trial is done here in the United States, it cannot be offered to patients as standard of care.


(Taken from website:) Studies in Europe have shown that mistletoe treatments along with a high alkaline diet are key components that can aid the body when fighting and overcoming cancer. The liquid extract of the mistletoe plant has been used as an alternative method to treat cancer for close to a century. Mistletoe injections are among the most widely used unconventional cancer treatments in Europe. In Europe, the most common commercial preparations are sold under the trade names Iscador and Helixor. Currently, only the European species of the mistletoe plant is used for cancer.


This treatment is not covered by insurance and is extremely expensive. However, we are noticing a difference already. We are FIGHTING. He is FIGHTING. The mistletoe is helping with the pain management and our hope is that it will boost his immune system.


I am not comfortable asking for help. This is very uncomfortable for me to do. But, when you are watching your loved one in excruciating pain, suffering, and fighting for their life, you put pride aside. The amount listed is for the mistletoe infusions. It does not cover the cost associated with his losing his insurance and job.


I am grateful for our friends and family who have been here for us during this time. Thank you for your prayers, love, advice, and support! 


Again, this is not easy for me to do -- asking for help. I was encouraged by my friends to set up this website, so with humility and gratitude, I am reaching out to ask for your help in financing this radical (and, hopefully, effective), new cancer treatment.
