<div>Iranians want freedom. Protests are happening in almost every province of Iran. This is the People’s Revolution of 2022….and it is led by women. The protests in Iran carry extraordinary global significance, but in the last 8 days alone, countless innocent people have been murdered by the Islamic Republic's police and the Morality police.

<div>Iranian women, their families and supporters, students, artists and LGBTQ people are being beaten, raped, killed, and imprisoned for defending their basic human rights.

<div>On September 16, major protests broke out around the country. At the front lines of these protests are young women and men, many are students and artists. Thousands of these protesters are being beaten, killed, and imprisoned.

<div>On September 19, the Islamic Republic shut down the country’s internet, and blocked access to social media sites, and slowed cellphone connectivity.

<div>On October 2, police descended upon Sharif University, trapping 2000+ students and faculty in school parking lots, dorms, and classrooms. Students are being beaten, murdered, and raped en mass.

<div>We have sources on the ground who have confirmed the following crimes against humanity: police are using machine guns to shoot down hundreds of protestors in the streets. Police are posing as medical help, using ambulances to shoot protestors. When injured protestors come to the hospital seeking medical aid, police drug, kidnap, and disappear them.

<p><strong>UPDATE: WE ARE RAISING MORE MONEY TO ALLOW THE PLANES TO KEEP DOING MORE TURNS.</strong><br /><br />We are coming to you in desperation to conduct an <strong>emergency flight rescue</strong> of 300+ Afghan souls. I have been working alongside humanitarian aid groups, decorated military veterans, and activists on the ground in Kabul, fighting to save people who otherwise have no chance at survival in the Taliban-occupied Kabul.<br /><br />The individuals in question are high-value targets - Afghan men and women who have worked as human rights lawyers, champions of Women’s and LGBTQ rights, journalists, government liaisons, artists, and interpreters - all of whom are at <strong>imminent risk of being executed by the Taliban,</strong> along with their families. We will be taking full family units.<br /><br />If these people do not get rescued as soon as possible, neither they nor their family will make it through the month. The Taliban have a KILL LIST and are going door to door, searching for these people and reportedly <strong>killing them on sight if found</strong>. Every one of these individuals on the manifest have been vetted.<br /><br />Due to the rapidly deteriorating situation in Kabul, this rescue mission will only be possible if $550,000 is raised to fuel 2 airplanes to fly into Kabul from a foreign country.  <strong>If we raise twice the amount ($1,100,000), we’ll do another run. There are enough people in need to make many round-trips with our two airplanes. We will continue multiplying as goals are met. </strong><br /><br />With help from people on the ground in Kabul, and the newfound security of the airport due to increased US presence — we have arranged for a <strong>safe onboarding process</strong>. FLYAWAY: EMERGENCY AFGHAN RESCUE MISSION

<p>Saroj is in a tough spot. She’s still grieving her husband. She is undergoing treatment for breast cancer. And the stress is really destroying her mental health. I’ve spent the last several weeks digging into her situation, and it hasn’t been easy to unwind. But I think we’ve figured out a path.
</p>

<p>By the books— she is behind 24 months of rent. This is due to the disruption of her husband’s death, her own health crisis, and the pandemic. Her store is located on 2nd Avenue, which is a prime location. And with tax and utilities, the full arrears would be $200,000. But there is certainly cause for major concessions from her landlord.
</p>

<p>But Saroj’s ‘landlord’ is not a landlord at all. Her storefront is owned by the Cooper Square Mutual Housing Association II. The MHA II is a collective that subsidizes low-income residents on the Lower East Side. This means that the rental income from Saroj’s storefront goes directly toward subsidizing the rent for low-income New Yorkers. MHA II is a lifeline to many people. And unfortunately the organization’s finances have also been badly hurt by the pandemic.
</p>

<p>The board of MHA II is composed entirely of low-income tenants themselves. They have agreed to accept $130,000 to settle Saroj’s debts. In addition to this—they have agreed to allow Saroj to stay in the store rent free for another six months as she attempts to sell as much inventory as possible. After this time hopefully Saroj will be in a position to relocate to a more manageable location.
</p>

<p><strong>The $130,000 from this fundraiser will not only eliminate Saroj’s debt, but it will also subsidize the rent of low-income New Yorkers.</strong> Any additional funds will go directly to Saroj, who is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer and has to pay 20% of the expenses out of her own pocket. She is worried about losing her house.
</p>

<p>I know it’s a lot of context to absorb. But beneath all the numbers and accounting, <strong>the goal of this fundraiser is to get Saroj out of crisis so that she can focus on healing</strong>. The waters are rising all around her, and we want to get her to some dry ground. The one thing she has is a lot of inventory. <p>This campaign is an effort to help the family of Kellsey Allen. The goal is to help them afford to be able to spend time with their child who is battling incurable brain cancer, to mitigate the basic costs of living. They are a two-income family that has become a single-income family in the face of supporting a sick child and having reduced work hours due to the pandemic. <br /><br />They are a family that would benefit immensely from having a small amount of flexibility in the weeks and months ahead, with the uncertainty of Kellsey's diagnosis. They are a family that should not have to choose between working to afford groceries or spending precious time with their child. Time that they can never get back.<br /><br />-------------------- • --------------------<br /><br />To back up, my name is Alyssa, and I am organizing this campaign in order to help Kellsey's family. The Allens were one of our first neighbors when we moved to Winthrop and they were so incredibly kind and welcoming towards us. We had just had a baby, and we had just purchased our first home. We were completely overwhelmed. One day my husband was attempting to move an enormous pile of gravel that we had delivered, not understanding this impossible project in our yard. Matt showed up, offered to help, and was immediately hauling and lifting. Jina made our baby gifts from her Etsy shop, and delivered freshly baked sourdough bread. They offered to help again and again, always with lightness and positivity. Their kindness was so unexpected, and so genuine. Their two small children, a boy and a girl, were beautiful. <br /><br />A few years later, they moved across town, now with 3 kids, and expecting a 4th. I was expecting a second child as well, and nearly shared a due-date with Jina. We stayed in touch. In the fall of 2016, we saw the Allens at our house, and they mentioned that Kellsey had been sent home from school multiple times because she had thrown up. No one understood what was happening. We tried to offer them help, in any way we could - suggesting therapists and gastroenterologists. Kellsey was in first grade. She looked fine, beautiful as ever, running through my back yard with the wind running through her long, baby-fine brown hair.<br /><br />Soon after, just as Jina and Matt's 4th child was due, they learned that Kellsey had malignant neuroepitthelial tumors in her brain. Over the past 4 years, they have had ups and downs. They have had precious time with their daughter. Their gratitude for this time is endless. They have also watched helplessly as Kellsey has been unable to eat, in pain, losing her hair, losing herself, losing her childhood, to this horrible disease, to the treatments she has endured, and to the mighty toll it has put on her young body. Two years ago, the Allens traveled across the country, achieving Kellsey's one wish - to "camp" with her family. They have reached the point where they just need more time. For a working family of six, having some financial stability could afford them a small amount of peace and moments together, as they face the road ahead.<br /><br />I will quote Jina Allen from the most recent post at "Kellsey's Army":<br /><br />"I have not taken the time to update anyone on my sweet girl. The truth is that everything that's going on is too hard to accept. Today I find myself unable to sleep trying to make sense of it all. I have the feelings of when I first heard those words, 'your daughter has several brain tumors.' This time the feelings are much worse, more intense, darker, painful....<br />"For the last year we've had great success with Kellsey's treatment. We had tried a combination of drugs that were attacking the tumors' genetic mutation and she was responding very well until cancer did what we feared most. Kellsey's tumor is rapidly growing, this time much more aggressive. We have limited options as far as treatment and bad symptoms have presented themselves faster than I anticipated them. <br />"Today I ask for you to pray for Kellsey and our family. My name is Tayla Lucchese. I am starting this go fund me in hopes to help out a very dear friend of mine Tara Lane. Tara and I sadly both bonded after the loss of both of our brothers who were our absolute best friends. Tara and I quickly became best friends, and I consider her like a sister. For any one who has encountered a great loss you know the feeling of constant agony, heart break and hopelessness. Tara brought Mila home almost exactly a year ago in July.  I have never truly seen her shine brighter than having this pup. Her smile was genuine again, her laugh was pure , and her heart was full. Mila has brought so much joy to Tara’s life after all she has been through, it really is true that a dog can uplift even the most broken spirits. Mila recently had an accident where her knee is in two pieces and she has a torn meniscus. The vet had estimated the cost of this surgery and it’s over $6000 and there is no payment plan offered. Tara lives with just another room mate trying to make ends meet day in and day out.( I know we all are but this is where I need everyone’s help). Tara has been through so much in the past couple of years and Mila is the only thing that has brought Tara back to reality. She can not afford the surgery on her own, and it may force her to give Mila away. That is the last thing i would want for Tara to endure any more pain she has already been through. I would do anything for her , and I know Tara would do anything for me. ANY little bit helps, I am asking for your kind donations so Mila and Tara can stay united together this dog has saved her life  , thank you for your time.

Kellsey  Allen is a 5 year old, daughter, sister, and lover of mermaids and cheese bread. She is a beautiful, charismatic little girl who lights up the room as soon as she enters. Wednesday her life was irreparably changed when an MRI revealed she had multiple tumors covering her brain. Her medical team is working hard to figure out exactly what it going on and how to proceed next. But her life, as she knows it, will never be the same.<br /><br />As many of you know Jina and Matt (her parents), welcomed their fourth child only a few weeks ago. Both Jina and Matt have always worked the hardest they could to provide a great life for their kids and their family. From Jina cooking every meal from scratch, to even hand making the kid’s school folders, to Matt creating beautiful woodwork as a side business. The timing couldnt be worse for this family. Jina is currently on a leave from work while she tends to her newborn, and Matt is working hard as the sole provider of the family - the medical bills are already adding up. <br /><br />Please join Kellsey’s Army and help us provide financial support, for the best family, at this horrible and terrifying time. Margoth Rodriguez is a server at Legal Sea Foods. She is the most kind and caring person I know. Even when her husband was dying of brain cancer she still came to work with a smile  on her face, always helping others, and never letting anyone know  of the anguish she was feeling.<br />As you all may know the bills do not stop coming in because you are sick.
