Racing to Owen and Addilyn

Meet Addilyn.  Addilyn is 15 months old and is diagnosed with Down syndrome.  Addilyn is very tiny for her age which is common for children who grow up in an orphanage.  We would like to bring Addilyn home soon so we can begin the therapies she needs and deserves.  Don't you just LOVE her hair!?! <3

Meet Owen.  Owen is 3.5 years old and has complex congenital heart disease along with bilateral cleft lip and grade III cleft palate.  He has had one cardiac surgery but the second phase surgery that he so desperately needs cannot be done in China.  He will not survive if he's not adopted.  He needs out NOW! His cleft surgeries cannot be done until after he is evaluated by the cardiologist and possibly not until after his second heart surgery is complete.  We need to get to him ASAP so he can be seen by the team of cardiologists at Boston Children's Hospital.  As you can see, his little hands and feet are already blue and clubbing due to lack of oxygen.  Please help us get to our son so he can get the care he so desperately needs and deserves!  Every donation helps no matter how big or small and EVERY donation means so much to us!! 
Addison and Kristen Matthews spent 16 months raising funds to adopt two boys with Down syndrome from China and traveled in June of 2015 to bring them home.  They once  again feel called to bring two orphans home and they need your help to be able to get to the children quickly in order to get Owen into surgery as soon as possible.  Addison and Kristen felt called to adopt a little girl from China and they got pre approval to adopt Addilyn first.  After getting pre approval for Addilyn they heard about a little boy who had a complex heart conditon that needed a family to get to him fast. This boy had a family that went through most of the adoption process but due to a change in that family dynamic the family was unable to continue the process for this boy.  Addison and Kristen felt heartbroken for the boy because without a family he will not survive in China. After some talking and praying they decided to move forward for this boy also and they chose the name Owen which means "young warrior" and Owen is definitely a little heart warrior.  He has survived 3.5 years with a severely broken heart.  Let's get this boy home to his family so he can get the surgery he needs and get baby Addilyn home too so she does not have to grow up in an orphanage. 

Addison is a firefighter/paramedic for a small town in northern Maine.  Kristen is a licensed EMT but chooses to stay home with their two adopted sons who have Down syndrome.  This family truly has a heart for orphans. They have the resources to care for two more children once they get them home but do not have the nearly $30,000 more that they need to get these two new kids home. These two children, Owen and Addilyn, have a family that loves them, a mom and a dad and several siblings (some grown and on their own) who can't wait to bring them home.  Don't let money stand in the way of the love and medical care that these two children desperately need.
