Help launch Tweaking Frog Brewing Company !
Hi everyone! I have been an avid home brewer for the better part of 8 years with dreams of starting up a microbrewery of my own. Well, after a year of focused planning, research and a lot of luck I was able to secure a location in Farmingdale, NY where I will be opening “Tweaking Frog Brewing Company”. The brew house has a 3 bbl brewery system, with a fermentation cold room and tasting room open to the public. With the location secured, and in the interim of obtaining my federal and state licenses (so I can officially start brewing), my focus is on ensuring I have the proper equipment to produce the best possible product for all to enjoy!
This is where I am going to take a shot and see if anyone is interested in helping with an investment in Tweaking Frog Brewing Company and equipment upgrades.
Most importantly to start, I would like to upgrade the 2 fermentation tanks. Ideally, I would like to use stainless steel unitanks to act as a fermenter and brite tank. Right now I plan to utilize plastic fermenters, which will work, but the stainless steel tanks would help immensely in creating a better product and would prove to be well worth the additional upfront cost.
The second big item I would like to purchase is an initial lineup of 75 kegs for packaging the final product. My plan at the moment is to lease kegs. Leasing will work but owning the initial lineup of kegs does help to keep operating costs lower, and in the long term this is a much more cost effective solution.
After those two purchases, should there be any additional funds left over from this campaign, I would use it to cover the initial operating costs required to get the brewery started and on its feet.
I usually don’t ask for much help or assistance with things that I take on in my life, but I also know no one is ever truly successful on their own. Sometimes in life you just need to jump, and so I’m diving in! This just feels right and if I don’t give this a shot it will be something I live to regret. I would rather lay everything on the line, trust my gut and shoot for my dream, rather than to not try at all and I would love to have your support in doing so.
