Brian Needs a New Hard Drive

I host The Walking Dead Talk Through, along with my co-host, Ruthie. I do all of the editing of TWD TT, on a two year old Dell Inspiron 15 7548, that's been upgraded to the maximum 16GB RAM. The laptop has had issues since it was purchased. It's never been as fast as the Core i7 it runs. The fan runs loud and constantly. A reboot takes approximately 20 minutes before I can use the computer. A new computer would be preferred, but I can't afford to buy one at the moment, due to other expenses that come ahead of computer. Right now, we have some expensive home repairs to make, and we need to buy a second car. I also have a personal expense to deal with soon. I don't want to ask people for a new laptop either, especially since my co-host needed a new computer last fall and she set up a GoFundMe that raised enough money to get that computer. I am hoping that a new hard drive, an SSD, will speed up the computer to a more tolerable speed and may even cool off the computer so the fan won't run constantly. The Samsung 850 EVO 1TB SSD I am looking to buy (to replace the 1TB HDD I currently have) currently runs $324.99 on Amazon. With tax, it comes to $346.11. That's the minimum I'm looking to buy. I could buy a smaller SSD, but I'd have to reinstall everything (since I've got the hard drive about 3/4 full; I would have to reinstall everything). With an SSD, I am hoping I can get another two years out of my laptop. Without it, my computer will continue to be too slow. If I were to raise more, I would buy a bigger SSD. If I were to raise a lot more, I would consider upgrading the computer... but I'm just looking for $350. Whatever you can spare would be welcome. I'll also accept Amazon gift cards! If interested in donating that way, send me a message.
