Walton Brain Tumor Causes Hardship

Donation protected

After having a grand-mal seizure in October 2017, doctors found a tumor in my right-side of the brain. After having the seizure, I started having issues with stability and dizziness and had to use the aid of a walker and wheelchair to get around. Severe Headaches, blurry vision, and slur speech was also a factor from the results of having the seizure.

Due to the risk of having more seizures and stability issues, I was unable to return back to his job. The position I had with my employer was terminated after only being there for a couple years, because the position was a 2 year trial position at a pharmaceutical company. Headaches and seizures continued occur almost daily for me to appoint that he had to 24hr supervision. Relatives would come watch me while my wife Tamara was at work. I had surgery in January 2018 to remove the tumor. The tumor is gone, but the damage on the brain has caused some issues with his comprehension and other learning skills. Seizures are still present and occurring almost daily. I am now having treatment through the use of medication and therapy.

Our family is hurting financially with me not being cleared by my doctor to start working following the tumor and continuing seizures. Tamara is only working part-time at a local retail store. Tamara’s health isn’t the best either, so she can only work as much as she can before her Lupus flares up. Our three boys have done their best to helping out with our financial issues by doing things like mowing grass and selling candy bars at school. Local organization has helped our family with utility bills and other expenses in the past. With organizations meeting limited financial help for our family or funding, the bills and the mortgage on the house have fell behind. Tamara’s pay checks are limited to on helping as best it can. I have applied for disability in November 2017 and waiting on approval from the Social Security Office.

The mortgage of the house is almost 5 months behind and subject to foreclosure. Utilities have also become behind to appoint where they have been subject to be shut-off.  Our family hates to ask for charity and help, but we are running out of options and time. We don’t want to lose our home. Please help our awesome family get back on our feet. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
