house burned down and lost everything

My moms childhood home burned down tonight. We’re sad but thankful that everyone made it out safely. My grand mother, grand father, aunts, and cousins lived there. The fire spread so quickly that most of my family didn’t even have a chance to put their shoes on. Firefighters retrieved some prescription Meds and important documents that we’re slightly burnt , but everything else was a complete loss. What the fire and smoke didn’t destroy the water, used to put the fire out, destroyed. Today we were reminded that life can change in an instant. My heart breaks for my grand parents who worked so hard to own that house. My heart breaks for my little cousins were slowly getting things together to start the new school year in a couple of weeks and tonight all they have left is the clothes on their back. Their school clothes are gone. Their backpacks and school supplies are gone. They have all lost everything but their precious lives. We thank god that the fire didn’t start while they were sleeping and that they’re alive and well. We’re asking for help from our friends and family. Please donate or share and please pray for them.
