My name is Helen Wills, and I want to do right by my family.
For the last four years, I've been on disability, ever since sustaining repeated additional injuries while recovering from a bad car accident. I've been surviving, caring for my 28 year old autistic son and trying to support his dream of making it as an author.
We've been surviving, but this year has been especially bad. With both unexpected medical complications, and storm damage to our home, there's simply no way for me to manage them on disability. The doctors are saying that without additional treatment very soon, and modifications to our home to accommodate my condition, I'm likely to worsen signifcantly.
I've always thought of myself as the one to be giving the help, rather than asking for it. And I truly hope to recover enough to make that true again. Thankyou so much for your generosity, every little bit helps.
