Dear Friends:

I am thankful the Lord has given me many abilities to use for him.   He has also given me a wonderful support system of people throughout my entire life.   Many have been cheering me on from my days in junior high track and soccer.   Although I have dreams of being in the Olympics for track and field, the U.S. bobsled coaching staff has opened another door for me.  There is no doubt that this is another opportunity the lord has given me.

I have spent many hours already practicing at the Olympic Training Center here in Lake Placid, New York. I have had the opportunity to train and learn along side the best in the world. There is much more to learn in this sport as the season begins. I am currently still responsible for the funding of my transportation, lodging, meals, and accommodations as I travel for competition. This is where I need your help and partnership as I continue to pursue this dream of competing on the US Olympic bobsled team.    I have the opportunity to compete this season on the North American Cup tour (NAC), which consists of 4 races. Each race will be in a different location, which requires a lot of traveling, time and money. Athletes have to self-fund their trips, which can get very expensive when you’re not receiving a dime and giving up a day-to-day job. So I am reaching out to you in hopes that you are willing and able to help me kick off my rookie season as a USA bobsledder in any way financially possible. Every donation helps me get to the steps and races needed to be apart of the US bobsled team. This is real and exciting!!24758604_15089406020_r.jpeg

Today was a good day. The past two weeks were good weeks. The past year has been a great year! ☺️ thanks to everyone for the amazing support and to those in the sport of bobsled for seeing the potential in me to give me this amazing opportunity to be apart of the 2018-19 USA Women’s Bobsled National team. I’m so excited to get things started here soon.

The work and journey is just beginning. And I now have to work even harder to help team USA beat the world!

Because my schedule won’t allow me to be home and to work I will need some help with bills. Anything helps keeps me stress free and focused on the road. ☺️

Thanks again for all the support and I can’t wait to continue this bobsled journey!!!

Since I started my bobsled journey I have been lucky enough to compete in Calgary where I placed 2nd and 4th.

Since then I have had a few interviews about this new found career in bobsled, including: The Sycamore Daily Chronicle, which is out of my hometown; Little Village Magazine, here in Iowa City & Cedar Rapids which has also made it onto track and fields top headlines; and InVironments Magazine, which is in the process of being published, servers Dekalb County and Rochelle Illinois. I have had so much fun sharing my journey with everyone so far and am excited to continue to share it.

The past month I was in Park City, Utah for two weeks. Though I did not compete, I learned more about the sport of bobsleigh and got to know more about my teammates. Not only was I able to fully absorb the competition atmosphere with teammates, I was able to drive a bobsled. The experience was great, so great that I will continue to go to driving schools to become a pilot. Next week I will be traveling back to Lake Placid, New York to compete in the final North American Cup (NAC) race of the season. I am extremely excited and ready to finish the season strong. Once the bobsled competition season is finished, I will then jump right into track season. Though I will be running in warm weather, without pushing anything, I will still be traveling back and fourth to Lake Placid, Park City, and even Calgary for bobsled camps.
