Tropic Of Capricorn Greenhouses

Tropic of Capricorn will be a beautiful environment within two geodesic dome greenhouses located in East Austin Texas, filled with gorgeous indoor plants! BUT... I need some help making this dream a reality.

I'm Candice the owner of Tropic of Capricorn (formerly The Fox Den). We are a small curated plant shop specializing in indoor plants in East Austin going on 4 years. My vision, and what I hope we always accomplish, is a space where people can find a wonderful variety of hand selected plants that will thrive in their environment. As well as a place of knowledge and an excitement to share it! 
I have found a location to move and build the greenhouses I've dreamed of for years!


I believe that anyone can keep plants alive! With the proper understanding of what plants require to be happy and healthy, and an understanding of your environment and lifestyle... we can always find a plant for you! It makes me so happy every time someone comes back in and tells me the plant they bought is still alive and thriving, or advice that I gave them helped turn things around for a struggling plant! I strive to give the best customer service and have our customers leave feeling informed and confident about their new plant adoption. 


My hope is that there are enough of you folks out there that enjoy and appreciate the services we offer.. providing the healthy & happy indoor plants, coming by or emailing for plant advice, stopping by to breathe the fresh air and take in the environment, or maybe you would just like to see a small woman run business succeed!


I truly believe in the importance of community and that all the little things we do make a difference. Sometimes it's hard to know how to get involved and make change in this world with so much turmoil & human disconnect. For me that place to start is at Tropic of Capricorn, where I communicate with so many people and bring something positive into their lives.. because in case you haven't heard.. PLANTS MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY!!! Connecting with people that are kind makes people happy! Learning something new and being rewarded with the gift of a thriving plant makes people happy!
