I have been a track and field coach for over 28 years, beginning my career back in 1988. I am also a 1988 Olympic silver medalist. I have coached several collegiate and professional athletes who together have achieved a combination of 60 Olympic and World Championship medals, I have also coached and mentor several high school athletes who have won state and conference titles which led to national titles and several collegiate scholarships. I have dedicated my life to the sport of track and field, spending countless hours studying the world of biomechanics and sports physiology in order to help runners achieve their goals. Throughout my years of coaching I have developed many different running techniques and systems, including the Drive Phase, which is used worldwide by athletes of all ages all over the world.

Off the track I am a husband, a father, grandfather, and a mentor. I mentor athletes and coaches of all ages and all levels. My passion for people is manifest not only in sports but in life too. I enjoy helping people grow and succeed both on and off the track. I have spent several years volunteering my time working with youth athletes, encouraging them to strive to reach their goals regardless of their development. It is important for them to know that through hard work and dedication anything is possible.

In 2003 I was approached by an athlete while at practice who gave me a syringe containing a clear substance. I anonymously submitted that syringe to anti-doping authorities and it was discovered to contain an undetectable performance-enhancing drug. That event eventually led to indictments of many coaches and athletes who were banned from their sport. I was unaware that my actions would cause such a significant backlash from doing the right thing.

The backlash began soon after it was discovered that I was the so-called whistle blower with a sanction by the USADA (United States Anti-doping Agency) and a life ban by the USOC (United States Olympic Committee) from their facilities as a coach. I have been stripped of my rights to participate as a coach in any track meets that are governed by the (USOC) which means I cannot receive coaching credentials and I cannot enter certain parts of the stadium where a coach would have access.

In 2015 the politics continued and I was removed from a local school in my community in which I had voluntarily coached youth athletes for the previous eight years. The team gained much success over the years through conference, state, and national championship titles; in return sending numerous kids to universities all over the country.

As recently as 2016, I was presented with a document stating that any person participating in any sports is not allowed to talk, consult, or have a relationship with me.

I have been fighting this case for many years behind closed doors. I have spent countless hours writing letters and asking for a reason behind the actions taken that have caused me to be removed from the sport. I have received no form of evidence regarding the actions taken against me. The more I fight the more retaliation I experience and the more restrictions seem to be applied against me.

My fight is not over and I will not give up or give in until I clear my name.  Your support in my efforts would be greatly appreciated.
