My father, Brian Messiah songwriter and guitarist suffered a life-altering accident.
Due to complications with a tooth infection, he became nauseous and lost his balance.
He fell down a flight of stairs, resulting in an injury to his spinal cord.
Following emergency surgery, he survived but currently does not have any movement below his shoulders.

Rehabilitation will be long and costly with no clear outcome regarding full or partial mobility.
