Midlands Indoor Dirt Park (Bmx/MTB)
My name is Jake Smout, I have been planning to fund and build an indoor dirt park for bikes. Much like the display picture, the park will feature dirt jumps made by the BMX and MTB community which will change and improve every month based on feedback and requests.
We chose Redditch town because it is a prime, popular location! I myself am a part of the BMX and skateboard community, therefore I know that there is a huge demand for this kind of sports center in the midlands. My dream is to create a small community of enthusiasts, young and old. Somewhere for kids to feel safe and to hone their skills.
I propose to build a large, indoor dirt park. Built entirely from dirt, by the riders, for the riders. By building ramps from dirt, we can reduce the initial upfront costs of ramps by over 70%. Dirt jumps are arguably easier, more fun, and more dynamic than conventional ramps. Once the riders have built a ramp using handheld tools (or diggers, depending on scale), they can instantly test it, change it, or knock it down and start again, all within the space of a day.
All donations will go toward initial set up and rent on the location.
