Help Travis Recover

Hi! My name is Lallenia. I decided to set up a fundraiser for my little brother Travis. He was in a fire 1 day after his 25th Birthday (February 19, 2016). He lives in an adult assisted living home in Omaha NE.
Travis was upstairs taking a nap when the fire started caused by someone else. Due to the medication he is on, he sleeps rather deep and is hard to wake up. He didn't hear the alarms go off and no one was able to get him out of the house in time before the fire did damage.
By the time fire fighters got to the scene the smoke had come up into his room and filled his lungs. When firefighters got him out he had a pulse but was unresponsive.
Once they got him to the hospital to start treatment and get the smoke out of his lungs. They also found he had a pretty severe burn on his right hip.
Right now he is in critical condition at the hospital while the medical team is working to get him healthy again.
This will be a long recovery process for Travis. The funds we raise will be able to help him replace the belongings he lost in the fire along with any other unforeseen expenses in which will come about for him and his family.
This means so much to me because Travis has been through a really hard life since he was born. There’s not enough time to go into detail but due to his mental challenges it was hard to find a home where people understood him and ones where he was loved unconditionally, not taken for granted due to “free” money or taken advantage of in other ways.
Since he has moved to Omaha I have tried to have him live with my family and I. I have learned through trial and error that he needs more than I am able to do while trying to raise my children. Which is why he is in an assisted living home for adults with special needs. I have done my best to involve him in family events when possible and make him feel special. I guess you can say I've been his biggest advocate the best I've been able while trying to live my own life, work through my own struggles and start a family.
Even through all his struggles my brother has the biggest heart, is always trying to make people smile, and he believes there is still good in the world. He really is my hero and if more people knew about him and his stories I'm sure he would be theirs too.
I assure you your donation will go to an amazing guy and help him while he recovers from this fire.
