Travis Frisk medical expenses

$11,316 of $15,000 goal

This is my nephew Travis Frisk.  He is 21 years old, a junior at UCONN studying Climatology.  He was on track to graduate a semester early, already looking into graduate school,  his goal is to work to protect our environment.  He is a member of the National Honor Society and has made the Dean's list every semester, definitely a bright future on the horizon.   He has been involved with the CT Bass Nation for years, fishing is his passion, which would explain his interest in the environment.  On March 30th he was diagnosed with cancer, at that point it was not classified, since then he has learned he has a rare sarcoma, testing is still being done for a final classification.  He has started treatment, chemotherapy at Smilow Cancer Center in New Haven, which will continue for a year.   In just the first week of treatment the out of pocket expenses are climbing, and will continue to grow for the next year.  Please consider making a donation to help cover the medical expenses not covered by insurance.  This is going to be a long journey for Travis and his family any help would be appreciated and go to the medical expenses only.

His end of month appointments went well! His 2 chemo treatments have done wonders. His 3rd was on 6/4 and has recovered well. Treatment 4 is 6/25 and we go from there. Hoping for continued success and positive movement to eliminate the disease completely. We as a family are so grateful for the continued support we have received and continue to receive during this battle. Please keep the prayers flowing. God bless, The Frisk Family.

Travis had his 2nd treatment which was to be 5 days but his amazing response to the first treatment, resulted in just another one day treatment. He responded fine and recovery is going great again. We have several appointments at the end of month in hopes to get nothing but good news. Thanks again to all for your support while the Frisk family wins this battle.

Travis had his follow up yesterday. It went quite well. Treatment has done a fantastic job shrinking things. He feels so much better and is able to do what he loves the most and that is fish. He takes it easy but it is the best thing for his spirits and outlook. Fishing is his best medicine!

Second round of treatment is week after next. Hoping for continued success.

The entire Frisk family can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity and words of encouragement and prayers. You have all formed a gigantic support team and we are grateful for all of you.
