We are starting this fund to help the Davidson Family with significant expenses they will incur while fighting Sawyer's brain cancer. If you need a little background, please read Kim's first post on their caring bridge site:
In the words of Sawyer's Mom, Kim, - On Tuesday, April 21 after experiencing symptoms for three weeks, Sawyer was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He had surgery to remove it on Monday, April 27. On Thursday, April 30, we learned that the tumor is a medulloblastoma or malignant tumor. The tumor had likely been growing for some time but had just gotten large enough to start producing symptoms.
The night before surgery, a nurse asked Sawyer what name he goes by and Sawyer replied, "Sawyer the Fierce". We had never heard this new moniker before! Sawyer continues to inspire us every day as he battles his toughest opponent yet, cancer. Please pray for Sawyer to have the same courage, determination, and fight he displayed during all of his wrestling matches this year. So much so that he once growled at an opponent and the referee turned to compose himself because it was so funny and commented Sawyer is the toughest 6 year old wrestler he had ever met AND when several kids found out they had to wrestle Sawyer they forfeited! Sawyer the Fierce, we are all with you and we love you!!
John, Sawyer's Dad, posts periodic updates to the site too. Please visit to hear their progress and to pass on some words and prayers as they appreciate the emotional support very much. John does a great job explaining the details and how Sawyer is progressing.

Many of you have asked how best to help and offered your time and suggestions. Given that Kim and John spend almost 100% of their time at the hospital right now, food and other donations are harder to coordinate. As their family and friends, we would like to support them monetarily as they will be on this journey for awhile. They have not asked for this; we have offered. We aren't sure how much money will be needed, so an ambitious goal was set given that Sawyer's treatment is expected to be lengthy.
Please keep the whole family - John, Kim, Sawyer and Vivienne (little sister) in your thoughts and prayers as well as all of their broader family - grandparents, sisters, cousins, etc.
