In 2014, thanks to a promotion by Camel City Goods, I started my #TourDeFrank; a journey to sample and chronicle the finest hot dogs that this world has to offer. In just 3 years, I've visited over 120 different restaurants, dives, shacks, and food trucks to try their variation on the American classic.
To date, I've mostly been able to visit locations in and around my home in North Carolina. However, it's time to see the rest of the country and taste hot dog specialities from across the USA. In May of 2018, my mother, my aunt, and I will spend 8 days driving from the East coast to the West coast making stops along the way at some of our nation's best hot dog-serving establishments.
As an alumnus of Wake Forest University and in the spirit of its motto, Pro Humanitate (For Humanity), I'm raising money for the Chaplain's Emergency Fund at Wake Forest University. The Chaplain's Emergency Fund provides funds for faculty, staff, students, and contracted workers during times of need. 100% of the money raised will go toward the CEF. We will be traveling approximately 3,500 miles so it is my goal to raise at least $3,500.
