Bring Him Home

Oleg Talamay was born on August 20, 1990 in Belarus. Starting at age seven, he spent many joyful summers in the U.S. learning English and American culture. His childhood dream was to be a professional tennis player.  And so his adventure into the world of tennis began. He spent many years playing in tennis tournaments and taking lessons in hopes of making his wishes a reality.

In August of 2012, he returned to the U.S. as an adult in order to pursue his 'American Dream'.  As with all young adults, he had his ups and downs until he came to the Kim Grant Tennis Academy.  There he was able to follow his passion and better yet, seemed to find his calling. Not only was he an instructor to adults and children alike, helping them improve their technique, he became mentor and friend to many.

Suddenly, the direction of his life dramatically changed on December 21, 2014 when he was assaulted and left in a deep coma on life support.  Sadly, his dream ended in the early morning hours of January 9, 2015 when he died as a result of his injuries.

His mother and brother came to he U.S. in time to say their goodbyes.  Now it's time for all of us to embrace his family and help them bring him home.

Please contribute what you can to help in this endeavor and leave comments for his family about how you came to know and love our Oleg.
