Jack has been selected for the U16 Australian squad, travelling to Thailand this April to compete in the Asian Cup (U21). We (Margie, Maddi, Em and Tom) are so proud of this kid. He was the only boy to sign up to the Volleyball Academy at Harristown SHS, in Year 8. After discovering there would be no team due to lack of players, he rounded up his mates and assembled a team. Harristown old boy and superstar hockey player, Jamie Krisanski stepped up to coach - a beginning teacher, with a young family and no volleyball coaching experience. This motley crew, trained together, played together, lost together, laughed together and fought together, until they won the State Championship in their age group in 2016. They qualified to play honours (the top division) at the Australian School's Cup. Everyone was a bit scared, but they won! Gold at Nationals!! Such an awesome result for a regional team and a motley crew. The call up for the Aussie team was unbelievably awesome. Let's get this kid to Thailand!
