Michelle's Tooth Fund
Friends, Family, and the Ultimate Community,
My name is Michelle Arceneaux and I currently play for Texas Showdown. I have been playing frisbee for about 5 years now and love the sport and community more and more everyday. While frisbee comes with a cost to play tournaments and take care of your body, a recent injury ocurred that I am financially unable to handle.
As many of you have heard or seen, a frisbee knocked my tooth out 2 weeks before the Ultimate Frisbee Nationals tournament. I do have insurance, but unfortunately the dental work is not covered. The whole process is costing me over $8000 because I fractured my root and need an implant. I would love any support from the ultimate community.
I am currently working as a technician for a physical therapy clinic while trying to get accepted into physical therapy school. While this job is a wonderful experience, The pay does not leave any surplus amount after paying for schooling, applications, and living expenses. I would appreciate any donation no matter how small to help me cover my dental expenses. This donation would mean so much to me. I have been working hard for the past two years to get accepted into PT school and during this time I have depleted my savings. Any donations would allow me to continue to focus on my goal of PT school.
In 3 years I hope to return the favor by providing any physical therapy advice for all of my frisbee injury prone friends/athletes. In closing I would just like to say, mouthguards are your friend :D
