Too Perverted To Die: The Mike Martin Story

Mike Martin (aka PhilKenSebben) has been a huge part of the Destructoid community for years as a community manager, moderator, organizer of contests, and overall badass human being. He’s played a major role in always making this place feel like home for users both old and new. If you’ve spent any amount of time here in the past decade, there’s a good chance that you’re already well aware of all this.

Last week, he found himself in the hospital after suffering from three separate heart attacks over the course of a few days. As a result, he’s currently recovering from surgery and has been informed by his doctor that he won’t be able to continue at his current job for at least a year. 

Between medical bills piling up and being cut off from his primary source of income, he’s in a really bad place. This guy has been a constant source of positivity in the community, and he’s always the first one to start a campaign to raise funds when one of us is in need. However, this time, Mike is the one who needs our help.

We’re extremely lucky to still have him with us. If you have anything you can spare, it could make a huge difference for him and his family during this trying time. Even the tiniest bit helps.

All proceeds from this campaign will go directly to Mike in order to help him cover the costs of things like food, rent,  medical bills, and anything else that may pop up while he’s recovering.
