Too much pride but at rope's end

For those that know me, I am stubborn and have too much pride to do things like this especially when asking for help. I am one that wants to help other rather than being helped, but the past two years my health has dramatically worsened. I've had numerous stays in the hospital and my doctors have encouraged me to sign up for disability. I want to work! But, I have to face the fact that I can't. I try to find humor in everything and joke about every situation but today I am at rope's end. My wife and daughter are working hard to keep us above water as we wait for my disability to kick in.

Unfortunately, time is not on our side. Today, we were informed that we have to come up with half of our rent at least by tomorrow. And have the rest by next week. Well, that's impossible and they are not willing to work with us at all. The housing complex is going to file paperwork with the courts tomorrow (Friday Oct 12) to have us evicted as quickly as possible. I am not sure why the urgency as we have lived here for 7 years and paid the rent every month during those 7 years. We run into a bad time over the last few months and now they just want to throw us on the street.

So, here I am on my knees asking for help. Its against everything I believe, but I am doing this more for Shari and Emilee than myself. I hope folks can help this call, but I also understand living in this world is rough for all of us. I don't have much to give back yet, except my gratitude and thanks.  Thank you in advance for any support.
