Duilio "Tony" Rosales Tragedy
$13,245 of $15,000 goal
His wife Maria, his daughters Ashley and Emily and numerous friends are left with an irreparable void in their hearts for this senseless loss.
Tony first came to Alaska in 2011. He was an amazing jeweler and he quickly found work at The Jewel Box doing what he loved. Soon after he arrived the love of his life followed him brining his youngest daughter Ashley—they made Juneau home. He was kind to everyone he met and always had a welcoming smile.
As family and friends mourn their loss they face the challenge and costs in travel and funeral expenses bringing him home to his family in Nicaragua. Any small amount you can contribute to help the family is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support in this immensely difficult time.
Three weeks ago Duilio Rosales was murdered. I never imagined I would write such words. I can't explain the tremendous shock and grief this has had on family and close friends.
My son-in-law Vladimir, his brother Victor and Duilio grew up together in Nicaragua. All of them had the same wish if they were to die they be returned to their home in Managua, Nicaragua.
Your generous support has made that happen.
Yesterday family and friends gathered for a wake at the Monte de los Olivos funeral home in Managua, Nicaragua.
Today mass was held at The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of Mary and then Duilio was laid to rest in the Jardines deal Recuerdo cemetery.
I have no words to express the family's awe and wonder at the amazing out pouring of financial and emotional support. The goal of this campaign was met. If anyone would like to make donations to help support Maria and Ashley in rebuilding their lives, there is the Duilio Tony Rosales Memorial account at Wells Fargo Bank.
We appreciate you keeping the family in your thoughts and prayers as they continue to heal for many years.
Maria and her Juneau family will be flying to Nicaragua Thursday for services to begin on Friday in Managua.
I can't express how much all the financial donations have meant but also the thoughts and prayers from throughout the country. It's a horrible senseless loss that has us reeling. We are simply thankful for those who help shine a little light along the way to our healing.
Maria and her close Juneau friends will be flying to Nicaragua June 3rd to bring Duilio to his family and final resting place in Managua, Nicaragua
We truly appreciate the outpouring of financial and personal support as well as the thoughts and prayers for the family.
The family is thankful for the official indictments--knowing authorities are continuing their investigation seeking justice for Duilio's murder the family now turns the page to this weekends Mass and the grieving process ahead of them.
Thank you for all your support.
