Four Madras High School students have been selected to participate in a student exchange with Madras Sister City, Tomi City, Japan in June 2018.
Daisy Tewee, Tyreyk Ramsey, Jessica Gienger, Osmar Rodriguez and chaperone Jamie Hurd will travel to Tomi City, Japan for 10 days! The students will stay with host families, share in cultural exchange and also visit Tokyo, Japan during their stay.
Each student is required to fundraise $2500.00 each to attend. In addition they must raise spending money and also funds to apply for passports and any other expenses to prepare to travel.
Students were required to complete an application, a 500 word essay and panel interview at Madras City Hall to be selected to participate.
The students and their families will be holding fundraising events to prepare for this opportunity.
