TOGETHER For the Long Run

TOGETHER for the Long Run, is an event to break down the barriers of disabilities, turn can’ts into cans, and bring the community together. It will be held on May 11 at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph High School.


One part of the event includes a track meet in which we partner disabled and abled individuals to run in track events along with participating in other activities throughout the day. TOGETHER for the Long Run began in 2016 and has only grown. This year we are estimating to have over 600 people there. It will include 220 Unified Track athletes, 170 volunteers from around the community, more than 40 athletes from Special Olympics and the South Bend Community School Corporation, 180 spectators from Unified Teams, and then spectators the community.

Along with a track meet, there are many activities happening to work towards our mission. Some activities include face painting, balloon twister, photo booth, community walk, and more!
