Pray for Chloe Kay

Donation protected
After spending Easter weekend with her father, Matt Kizer and his family, Chloe returned home to start the school week. After arriving home Chloe began experiencing stomach pain that was believed to be the common stomach flu. After no improvement she was taken to Sturgis Regional Hospital for evaluation. She was transfered to Rapid City Regional Hospital for further testing. It was immediately apparent she needed more extensive treatment and was flown to Sanford Children's Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
With an initial diagnosis of appendicitis she was taken in for emergency exploratory surgery. Her appendix was removed due to severe damage but was not the original infection. At this time the original cause is unknown but the Doctors and medical staff are working diligently to find the cause. Chloe remains in critical condition in the pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She is in a chemically induced coma on Life Support to allow her body to heal faster and keep her comfortable. She is on a respirator to help her breath and acute Dialysis to help clear the infection out of her body. Her parents and brother are at her side patiently waiting for more answers.

All the staff here are amazing and doing everything to keep Chloe and her family comfortable through this difficult time. We appreciate all the support, positive thoughts and prayers.  Thank you again!

Matt Kizer is an Electrician at BNSF Railway Company in Alliance, NE. He is a dedicated and loving father who commits his life to adventures he can take his children, Ryan and Chloe on. Matt is the man who stops for the car broken down on the side of the road or to tow a car out of a snowy ditch. His enourmous heart and love for his children is apprent through his everyday life. Matt is very fortunate to have an employer that offers excellent medical coverage for Chloe and extended family leave for emergencies like these however it is unpaid. If you would like to donate money to Matt for food, transportation, bills and lodging while over 400 miles from his home to be with his little Chloe Schmoe. Thank you so much for taking your time to read Chloe's story and for your continued support and prayers!
