Sadie's Love

Sweet 18 month old Miss Sadie is in URGENT need of our love now.  Many of you gave her lots of light last fall which was greatly appreciated for her to get more genetic  testing and to see an eye specialist for her cortical blindness. After one year of searching for answers with an original diagnosis of cerebral palsy, Sadie has now been diagnosed with KIF1A-disorder, a VERY RARE heterogenous degenerative neurological condition.  This progressive disorder can cause Sadie to have seizures, spastic paraplegia, contractures, neuropathy, optic nerve atrophy, and cognitive and language impairment. Gratefully, her parents have the opportunity to take her to  Columbia University in New York City for a meeting with one of only three doctors familiar with the disorder.  Sadie is one the youngest of the roughly 30 patients known to have the disease in the world!  Her parents are in NEED of FUNDING to make the trip happen next month to see what the future will hold for their daughter.  ANY and ALL DONATIONS will be greatly appreciated for this amazing family. Shannon, Chris and Sadie have been through so much over the past year. We can all come together to help lighten their load and give love to get them through.
