Jill Kruse was bitten by a shark on November 1st while vacationing with family in Cocoa Beach, Fl.  Some call it the most serious shark bite Brevard County has ever seen.  Her calf suffered the brunt of the bite.   Surgery is planned for 11/3/2015, and she will be required to stay hospitalized for at least 2 days following surgery.  Jill has a long recovery ahead of her.  Also, it would be awesome for her to be able to have a vacation re-do since she was injured on her 2nd day of vacation that she was saving for for over 2 years.   She now has to enjoy Florida from her hospital room.

Jill and lee are flying home today. She's in a lot of pain (understandably). Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She has a long recovery time ahead of her (doctors estimate a year). With no insurance, the medical bills are going to be a huge burden on her, so even if you can't donate, please share.

Jill had surgery Tuesday to repair the tendons, nerves and close the wound. She has been in quite a bit of pain. We are hopeful she will be able to leave the hospital tomorrow . Jill and Lee were supposed to fly out yesterday but that didn't happen. The airlines are being heartless when it comes to changing a flight especially when we do not know when she will get out. We are working on this. We are hopefully going to fly out Friday . Jill won't be able to walk on her foot for quite some time and it looks like possibly a year for healing. Thank you everyone for your prayers. I will keep you posted. -Wanda (Jill' mom)
