When Craig Randall Tippit, 37, left his home Saturday to train in Waller County for an upcoming triathlon, his wife Stephanie said it felt like any other weekend when he’d leave for what’s usually an uneventful bike ride.

On Saturday, he and dozens of other bicyclists were in Waller County training for the BP MS150 and other competitions. The ride quickly turned tragic when Craig and another cyclist were struck by a vehicle.

This horrific and needless event has effected the lives of many:

Craig was a loving husband and partner.

An amazing father to two little boys.

A brother (and amazing tenor).

A son. An uncle. A co-worker. A friend.

An IRONMAN, an athlete, and an incredible man.

The family is greatful for all of the thoughts, prayers, and considerations of everyone!

If you are able to assist with Craig's funeral expenses and Stephanie's financial burden of raising these two small children as a single Mom, we thank you with all our hearts.

Love,
The Tippit Family

My mother and my step dad were the 2 other cyclist involved. My mother did not make it, my dad has been released and has several broken bones. My family prays for you guys. We are so sad and hurt. But god will lead the way. I miss my mom. If one of the family members will contact me. I'd like to speak with someone along with my dad whom was involved in this horrific accident. 8327271062

Stephanie- I am so sorry for you and your families loss. My first thought was being on the playground at recess with you when you were pregnant. I remember you wearing your wedding ring on a necklace, and remember talking to you about your husband. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
