Time to help Tim

Tim Higgins, also known as Officer Higgins from the Schenectady Police Department was suddenly diagnosed with Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma in late June of 2019. This diagnosis came very unexpectedly as Tim is a healthy 32 year old, parenting 3 kids (ages 2, 5 and 7) while balancing work and extracurricular activities. With the cancer spread to major organs, its needless to say, treatment has already begun. With the intensity of combating this horrific cancer, Tim will not be able to work during this time as he undergoes his first and hopefully only round of treatment (July-October). Tim having to take 4+ months of work off and already being a one income household really makes this difficult situation harder. Emotionally and physically, this is taking a toll on him and his loved ones, but avoiding all financial stresses would help immensely.

Tim is a loving husband to Lisa, devoted father to Timothy, Ryan & Emilia and a beloved friend of many. To all who know him, Tim is hardworking, kind and generous. He’s the type of person that is always helping others and never asking for it in return.


What WE can do is come together to support Tim and his family during this unimaginable time. As I mentioned prior, with Tim unable to work and to continue providing for his family, we are raising funds for childcare and other expenses that are thrown their way.
