Parents of TIA End of Summer Picnic

Taylor Internation Academy is a charter school located in Southfield, Michigan. On May 26th, the parents learned that the school will be closing due to lack of funds. I am a parent of a student who has attended TIA for the past 5 years and this is very disheartening for the students, staff and parents.
Every year the school holds an end of the year school picnic for the students as well as the community however, with the lack of funds to continue the school, the picnic will not happen unless we are able to raise money. The parents of TIA decided we should try to raise money to continue with the school's tradition. The staff and students have worked very hard this year with academics and have increased their testing scores, most children exceeding the state's requirements. With the news of the school closing, we, the parents think it's only fair that the children be rewarded for their hard work. Considering this will not only be an end of the year picnic but an end of the school picnic. We hope that you can find it in your heart to assist the parents to make this happen for the students of Taylor International Academy.
