My name is Roy Rogers and I am a member of The White Book podcast. This fundraising campaign is raising money to help the family of Will Lentz, who have been devastated and displaced by the recent flooding in Missouri.
Will Lentz is one of the oldest and most prominent member of the Game of Thrones: the Card Game community across all editions of the game. As "Kennon" he has written many strategy articles and guides for both new and old players. He co-founded, in 2006, 2C1C (2 Champs & a Chump) the most listened to and longest running community podcast for the game. With the second edition of AGoT 2C1C transformed into its modern incarnation of the White Book and Will launched a website to support the influx of new players to the game. He also has the honor of being the only person to be declared a "championship level" player by Fantasy Flight Games.
2017 has not been an easy year for the Lentz family. Earlier in the year Will's father passed away unexpectedly. Adding on to the trials of the Lentz family their family home was recently lost to the historic flooding which is devastating Will's home state of Missouri. Will's mother has been displaced, perhaps permanently, by the flooding.
This fundraiser provides an opportunity for members of the Thrones community (and other friends of the Lentz family) to help them through this difficult time. Will has given so damn much to our community over more than a decade and now is the time us to step up and give something back to him and his family!
100 percent of the money given here (minus the fees taken by GoFundMe) will be given directly to the Lentz family.
To encourage participation in this campaign we will be offering exclusive alternate art cards to people who donate at a certain level. A minimum $5 donation gets you one copy of the card, $10 donation gets you two copies, and $50 (or more) gets you two copies of the card alongside a special "you are an awesome & kind soul" grab bag of Thrones alt-arts. NO money from the campaign will be going towards these alt-art cards. Their production and mailing costs will be covered by members of The White Book. All money raised by this campaign will be going to the Lentz family.
In order to get your cards, after you donate to the campaign please e-mail Roy Rogers at fauxintel [@at@] gmail.com with your donation amount and address. Cards will begin to be mailed to donors at the end of May.
