Thorsby Fas Gas "H.U.G. Event"
Blessing All Who Read My Family's Story.......
My name is Kay. I am sharing my family's misfortune.
My father was Jo (Ki Yun). My family suffered his tragic death on October 6, 2017 when he was run over by a truck. My father was trying to stop the truck from fleeing without paying for his fuel.
It is with mixed feelings that my family can now say that the RCMP have arrested the suspect.
We have all suffered greatly since our loss, especially my mother.
We are humbled by the need to ask the public for financial assistance.
My brother, mother and myself worked for my father on weekends.
It was heartbreaking to find out after his death and we began running the gas station full time, how much my father was suffering on his own with his efforts to sustain his business and provide me and my brother the opportunity to pursue our own career dreams.
On behalf of my family, I am sincerely asking for your assistance during our very troubling and trying times.
It is my mother's dream, supported by my brother and me, that in the future, we will afford the same assistance to someone else and pay your present kindnesses forward.
On behalf of my family, thank you for taking the time to read our story.
Kay, Ed, Meyoung-Hee
It happened to be a 27 year old man who was already charged with property thefts and possession of dangerous weapons.
7 months of frustration hoping for this man to be caught came to a closure and my family is relieved..
My family is still suffering and our store is in need of your help. I am trying and working as hard as I can to keep our store going and continue my father's journey.
Please support our H.U.G Event that is happening on June 9th, 2018, organized by Rhonda Fiveland.
Minister Christina Gray invited my family to the legislation conference introducing a new
Bill 19: Protecting Alberta Gas Stations & Convenience Stores
for the first reading. If the bill gets passed through,
it will be mandatory to pre-pay before pumping gas.
This bill also contains safety programs which will try to prevent thefts and robberies.
Husky, 7/11, and Esso stood up and brought up pre-pay before gas mandatory in their stations already.
I am really hoping every other gas companies will join
and follow this great change that will bring safety to many people.
My father is in peace in his niche and my family is back in reality.
It still feels like I am dreaming and everything has gone so fast past 2 weeks.
Real suffering just started and my family is at lost.
The suspect is still not found.
This is the worst part of all.
